Hotel Review of Krishnali Beach Resort
Comments: our trip to ganpatipule was one of the most memorable holiday experiences of all time. the drive from mumbai to ganpatipule (about 370 KM) was awesome, given a great combo of ghats and open roads. Road quality was amazing and in some places, I felt I could almost smell the freshly laid tar on the road.

Ganpatipule is a small, very small place, just about a village. It has some of the best beaches that I have seen on the western coast, very clean with the bluest of skies and very secluded. The waters are clean, the sand melts under your feet, and in the night, you can actually see a lot of stars lighting up the sky.

Go to gpule, if you want to slow down, take life as it comes, and wait for things to happen. Take some books, chill out on the hammock, have another kingfisher, listen to the waves, and RELAX.

But on the other hand, if you want three forts, four vantage points and one palace visit to be packed into a day, you are in the wrong place friend. Gpule is completely about chilling and chilling more and more.

The Krishnali resort in Bhandarpule (2 km from Gpule) is the BEST resort in the place from the perspective of location as it surrounded by small hills at both ends. This creates a bay like area, and a private sort of beach about 1 km in length. Off white powdery sands, phenomenally blue green waters, coupled with the breeze of numerous coconut tree right on the beach make this one of the best beaches ever visited. The only other resort in the place which has an actual 'on the beach' location is MTDC but it opens out to a public open beach, right next to the temple (main landmark of GPULE) making it somewhat boisterous and full of people of mixed proclivities. Most other hotels are a walk way from the beach or right in Gpule village.

Do visit the Gpule ganpati temple. It is a lovely temple, right on the beach next to the MTDC resort. D try and summon the energy to wake up a little early and visit the temple. The cool breeze in the morning, sound of the sea and the ambience of the temple can create a different experience altogether.

Best Experience: While approaching Krishali, you climb a hill and then as you turn a corner and start descending downhill, the sea and the sand suddenly open up in front of you after almost 375 KM of driving through indifferent views.

A large sheer expanse of blue sea, a small beach and the sound of waves suddenly fills your senses with great silence. One of my life's AHA moments for sure!
Worst Experience: No real worst experience but as we all know that happiness or satisfaction is mostly the difference betwenn reality and expectation, watch out for some irritants.

1. Service is slow. This is endemic of Gpule hotels as a whole. However, past reviewers had so psyched me with their comments on service, that in my experience, the service was much faster than what I expected.

2. Food quality is average. Nothing wrong, but we just had thalis for lunch as well as dinner. Got a little boring. Try some of the local hotels next to the Ganpati temple for some choice.

3. Place is pricey. At Rs 5500+ per night, it was on the higher side, but the place made up for it.

4. This has nothing to do with the resort but if you are travelling from Mumbai to Gpule during the weekend by car, try to leave a little early for home. Else, you could get chewed at Pen, a key junction on NH17. Plan to be in Panvel by 630 or so which means you will have to leave Gpule by 1030 to 11 in the morning.

It was one of the worst place i had ever visited as holiday destination.Even without cacelling my booking on reaching there i was shocked not to see myname in the register,there was no official mail or letter informing me regarding my cancellation inspite of accepting full bill in advance! I will not suggest anybody to go to such place and waste money....

My experience at Krishnali was gr88...their private beach is just amazing.... the room was also neat and bigg...they also had a decent pool & a gym... but nothing can top the BEACH they have... Sam....

The location on a secluded beach is the only saving grace. Food is not upto the standard Krishnali claims to bench mark itself based on his pricing. Food was compulsory inclusion in the package hence we could not eat out. No games or addln recreational facilities. Lawn is not comfortable to walk on as it is full of weeds. No bar facilities....
