Hotel Review of MTDC Beach Resort Ganapatipule
Comments: It was monsoon & raining when we boarded the state transport bus at vashi & it was darkwhen we reached ganpatipule. we had booked the konkani house at the m.td.c office in mumbai but on reachinh there we were told there is no light there & so we will have to put up at the deluxe rooms, we dnt have a choice. As the sun started rising with the rains the beach looked so beautiful ,even though we were tired from the travelling we down to the beach & got wet in the rain. Apart from having a good time at the beach & visiting the temple which is a stones throw away from the resort there was nothing else to do. I believe it was off season so nothing much to see.Even the restaurant dnt have much choice in its menu. End of the story we loved it an overwhelming experience.
Best Experience: The beach was clean good crowd privacy good house keeping service even the transportation is close by, just outside the entrance of the resort, not much variety but good tasty food.
Worst Experience: would have loved to stay at the konkani house, appreciate if they had room services aswell.

We stayed at the AC rooms there. But they have come up with deluxe non a/c rooms which are also very good, the view from the rooms is fabulous....

My wife and me were rather undecided on the destination to go to celebrate our 1st anniversary and Ganapatipule was an almost last minute decision. We were also wary about the MTDC resort (after all it is a governement run resort and somehow governments and hospitality do not mix ;)). But all our fears were unfounded when we reached the resort... and how!! The MTDC resort is situated on a small hillock exactly above the beach, thus giving a birds...

We had a a fabulous time at the Ganapati Pule MTDC Resort. Really the 2 nights that we spent at Ganapati Pule would be a life time memorable event. The best part of the resort is its architecture...whichever room you book, you will have the beach view...the vast expanse of the blue see is the most pleasing sight....

The experience at the SEA VIEW A/C Cottage ( no 2 ) was AMAZING. The view is better than that seen from TAJ Hermitage ( GOA ) and the comparison ends there. Service is something one wants to forget ASAP. THE beach is very clean....

MTDC staff very polite but typically bureaucratic.Renovated, still poorly furnished.Huge cottages.no carpets.excellent genset back up.well located.rude and greedy private caterer.only really sore point.excellent get away....
