Hotel Review of MTDC Beach Resort Ganapatipule
Comments: I had been to Ganapatiphule for 3 nights. I had a chance to stay at 2 different categories of the room there. Although I had no idea of how a konkani hut would, I still thought I should try it out for one day. My first day was spent in a Konkani Hut which was just about 50 -70 mtrs away from the beach waters. The view from the room was only the waters and the sound of the waves hitting the shore was simply amazing. It was a fantastic experience staying there. I wanted to extend my stay in the Konkani Hut for the rest of the nights as well but on Thursdays, the MTDC runs Deccan Odysey Trains for tourist and as per regulations, Konkani Huts and tents Resort is reserved for the Deccan Odyssey Tourists. Hence I had made my booking for a Sea-View Delux Cottage. Even this was a good place. It had a good room and a balcony overlooking the sea.
Best Experience: All the rooms in the Resort are overlooking the Sea. My special recommendation though would be the Kokani Huts. Although the Konkani huts do not retain the same kind of natural look from inside but still they are very good. The view from the rooms will make one ponder and you feel like just looking at the sea all the time. The beach is also clean and one spend some time swimming into the waters as well. The 2 restaurants are good and serve decent food.
Worst Experience: There was no worst experience such, but I think I should be informing the viewers that the place is just a relaxation destination. There is nothing much to do there. There is no recreation activites available. Not even a hammock on the sea side. The restaurant food is good though they do not serve local konkani food. If some recreational activities are set up then it would turn int a paradise. However anyone wanting to just chill out, relax and one who loves water and its sound, this is the right destination for you.

The overall experience was very good. The best thing about the resort is the beach, simply amazing. Infact, that's the best thing about the whole place. Cummuting can be problem if you do have a vehicle of your own. The rooms are quite big with big balconies. But as with all other govt. run resorts, a little more effort could be done on the maintenance front. The resort doesn't have too much activities packed in for the guests and...

truly awesome. ganapatipule was a slice of heaven and the best way i could have celebrated the onset of the new year - with friends, a bottle of beer and the sea at close range. white sands, clear gentle waters, beautiful sunsets, picturesque flocks of birds and the occasional bullock cart race - ganapatipule was the perfect get away from mumbai's throngs. three blissful days spent alternately lazing on the sand and frolicking in water! Getting there was quite easy,...

The trip was fantastic. Ganpatipule was touted as one of the best beaches in the state and it more than lived up to its name. Blue waters, playful waves and white sands encased in a frame of greenery provide the perfect vision of a holiday! The MTDC resort has several types of rooms available. All these rooms although spartan are pretty spacious and all of them have a large balcony which provides a perfect view of the sea. The beach...

Every room faces the beach and is just about a few metres away from the sea. The beach tents and cottages are literally on the beach! The latter also are next to the backwaters. Ganpatiphule beach is lovely, untouched and pristine. The Swayambhu temple is one of the cleanest I have seen and evokes a feeling of peace and sprituality in tis simplicity that I have seen few temples do....
