The reason for staying in this hotel is because it is an actual Haveli and I wanted to experience that, it was a wonderful experience. We stayed on the 3rd floor A/C room, it was a lovely beautifully decorated room with hand painted designs on the wall and a window bed which was awesome and at very much affordable price. I loved mostly everything about this place, the location, the rooms . . The things I didn't like is that they didn't provide any shampoo or soap and towels and the food wasn't that great except for the veg grilled sandwich, it was good. The staff was alright. I searched for good hotels nearby but all were in the same category so its better to just eat in this hotel rather than look around. The location was good the lake was right behind the hotel, City palace is also very near. Oh and you do get free WiFi which is such a great bonus on the whole deal. My advice to travellers is that while getting there from Udaipur bus depot don't pay more that Rs 50-60. The autowalas try to cheat you by saying it costs more that a hundred but that isn't true. And while staying there don't pick the room right below the terrace hotel because the chairs will make noise and cause irritation
My overall experience was good in this hotel. Location of the hotel was okay. Appearance was well. Booking and front office staff was perfect. Staff behaviour was very cooperative. Whenever you required anything, they served you quickly. Services were excellent. It was old type building but well maintained. Rooms were neat and clean. Geyser was available in the room. Check-in and check-out service was easy. There was a nice restaurant available in the hotel and I took my meal there. Quality wise, food was tasty. Both veg and non-veg dishes were served in the hotel. Nothing was available in activities. I will recommend this hotel to other travellers. They provided cab facility for sightseeing. It was totally money worth. I went there with my family in the month of November 2013 and it was a relaxing trip. Udaipur is a nice place as tourism.
It was my trip to Udaipur in the month of July 2017 where I stayed in the Hotel Gangaur Palace. It was my business trip alone. The place where I had been to was good. I would rate the location as excellent as it is comfortable and there is market near the location. The appearance of the hotel was very good as it is very hygienic. The staff at the reception was very good because of clean and spacious and availability. I booked my room directly at hotel. The house keeping services in the hotel were very good because of responsible quick service they were helpful. The rooms at the hotel were very good with comfortable beds and neat bathroom. The food in the hotel was excellent because we had tasty and fresh food. There was no other activity available in hotel I would rate it as good.
It was my holiday trip to Udaipur with family. I booked the hotel online. The hotel location was convenient there is market nearby and a lot of restaurants. The overall look of the hotel was average. The front office staff and service were normal. The room was well maintained it was neat and clean. The food at the hotel was tasty they don't have more options available in the hotel if we want more variety they need to go to the market. The overall service was mediocre. The room service was not that great they can improve. There was no extra activity available in the hotel there is no parking facility available. There is no lift facility in the hotel.
An old Haveli converted to a heritage hotel is located in a busy lane within busy tourist hub. My wife had some problem in negotiating steep steps through narrow stairs. The young Manager was kind enough to arrange promptly an alternative room in the lower floor to make her stay comfortable. The room was nicely decorated. Room service & food was very good.
