Gangtok food, sight-seeing and shopping options
Shopping is comparatively expensive here and things are not authentic. Most items are Chinese made with life of 4-6 months. Lots of food options and the best veg food and breakfast is available in Rasoi and Parivar restaurants. As mentioned in overview, there are many sight seeing places. One important note for people travelling to Nathula and Baba Mandir.. Since these places are at very high altitude(14200 fts), you may face breathing problems. Hence a simple solution is to keep 'kapur'(one which is used for a flame) with and keep smelling it whenever you have breathing problems. By the way M.G. Road in the heart of Gangtok is probably the best market place i have seen in India.

All the rooms give good view to the stadium and are peaceful. The food tastes good....
