Another well known Hindu temple in Kurseong is the Gidhapahar Mandir. The Gidhapahar Mandir is a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and is located 2 km from Kurseong market on the Hill Cart Road to Siliguri. This temple is one of the most visited Hindu temples in the Darjeeling hills.
Devotees from within the town and as well as outside visit the temple to offer prayers. Every year around the month of February, the temple holds a fair on the occasion of Shiva Ratri. During this time hordes of devotees visit the temple and a festive atmosphere prevails in the temple and its nearby places.
