I had visited Sasan Gir for my anniversary trip Let me tell you Gir pride resort is just perfect location to step by, walk able from the main road & near to sight seeing spots but still not in too much middle of city The ambience and the theme they have built is awesome Tents were comfortable and warm enough in winter too Staff and service are really good Mr. Mnohar sodha the manager and the owners Mr. & Mrs solanki gpour their heart in I miss the Roti made by Mrs solanki, appetite had remarkably increased during the stay I must say that Also they played a big role in arranging a cake in middle of forest for my anniversary surprise. Thank you for an pleasant unwinding experience For visitors - If you are in group of 10 or more you can call the owners prior and Mr. Solanki shall arrange a 1-2 days activity schedule and it will be worth experiencing at minimal cost Try and arrange for safari on your own, the brokers charge pretty hefty.
Little inside from the main Gir road. Board for diversion available. Mostly tent type accommodation with very few rooms available. Booked through tour operator package but can be avoided given a choice as many good ones are on the main road. If you like tents then can be considered okay as AC + LCD + Bathtub provided but not comfortable as moving space becomes less and feel stuffy. Enjoyed tent stay at this location (jungle area) becomes too risky (mainly the female folks with weak hearts). Normal veg food is served (however can prepare non veg if booked early. Breakfast they make eggs with additional charge )Avoid? Environment/Place atmosphere is quite good being a big farm partly converted into resort.
I had visited this hotel with my family for personal trip. The behaviour of the staff's was very bad in the hotel. There was a trouble in check in and checkout at the booking office of the hotel. The activities were not available in the hotel. The appearance of the hotel was fine. The garden was not available in the hotel. The parking place was not available in the hotel. The room provided by the hotel was not up to the mark. All amenities were available in the room. The food and drinks were available in the hotel was fine. The overall experience was bad in the hotel. I would not recommend this hotel to upcoming travellers. I would suggest this hotel that they should change their hotel staff. The room price was reasonable in the hotel.
We were group of friends. We went in Jan/Feb along with kids. The resort is safe and at the same time a proper wildlife resort. The resort is spread across a big farm with one restaurant. They have many other activities available. The resort is situated close to the reserved forest for safari They have 3 options of accommodation. 1st Floor rooms with balcony, ground floor with sit out and Tents. We preferred the 1st Floor since we were with kids. The rooms are appropriately sized with bed, AC, TV, clean bathrooms and big balcony. The ground floor rooms seems to be cramped. The tents are wonderful with big rooms The breakfast is satisfactory with adequate options. We didn't had a chance to try lunch or dinner The services are average which is expected from a wildlife budget resort Overall, it's a value for money wildlife resort. We loved it and would recommend to everyone.
We visited the resort in the first week on December. A little away from the main road, the approach road could send mixed signals about the place but once inside the resort, it is bound to take your breath away. It definitely reminds one of their childhood days in their native villages Extremely courteous staff. A special mention about their manager, Manohar Singh ji The rooms are very comfortable. A perfect blend of native and modern living. Star gazing from the khatiyas outside your tent is super recommended
