We had a very nice experience of 'homestay' at Giridarshini Homestay. Hospitality was excellent. As a vegetarian, my family and me enjoyed the excellent Malnad cooking provided at the homestay. Special thanks for taking care of our vegetarian requirements. Mr Venkatesh took us on a information packed tour through the estate and my son enjoyed the beautiful waterfall enroute. I would recommend this to my friends and would like to return again.
Hi Everyone, We were 8 of us, who planned a bulled ride to chikmaglur. We booked this home stay 15 days in advance. It was my first bullet trip and was pretty exited. Reached the home stay by 1 PM, Mr. Venkatesh welcomed us in a nice manner, was very polite and courteous. He asked us about our whereabouts and arranged for lunch very soon. Delicious food with yummy chicken kabab. Relaxed and checked out the estate and surroudings. We visited the near by waterfall and spent rest of the time drinking and sleeping. Night dinner was delicious too. Most of them were high and wasted lil food, sorry about that. Got up late in the morning, had hot idli's with dal fry and left the home stay at 11.00 and started off to mullaingiri. Overhaul experiencing was amazing. I would love to visit again and refer people :-)
The experience was super. Venkatesh, Vikas, little Nyan, Vikas\'s brother & others really made us feel at home and comfortable. The place was neat and clean, and service very friendly. Took extra interest in showing their pets, estate, and sorroundings. The atmosphere was homely and not hotel like which made it all the more better and worth doing that extra 25 km from Chikmaglur to GiriDarshini at Mudigere. Enjoyed the nature especially the morning walk down the winding road with paddy fields on both sides and hills as background with unhindered view and birds incl peacocks on flight. We had a like minded family for company form Bengaluru , so it was good fun. The grand finale was the trip to the estate where the coffee plantations was in full bloom with white bunch of snowwhite flowers that made a pretty picture, and fragrance of jasmine in the air. All in all worth it. - Rema and Raman.
