This is a MTDC resort run by Golden Swan group. The management is excellent! Located right on the beach front, its spacious and lovely. The staff is very courteous and polite. The food rocks! And they take every care to make your food the way you want it. We are vegetarians and Jains, so we were little sceptical at first to eat there (We had carried our home-made food). But they ensured us that the entire cooking range is different for vegetarians. Since it was low season during Sept, rooms very well priced at Rs. 2000 per night. Overall, this resort is highly recommended for all a weekend gateway.
Murud is a location which is secluded from crowd and commercial aspects. Though its near to Alibaug but a totally different experience. We stayed in this resort in July 2011 for 2N/3D. We had an idea that we would not get an luxury in Murud but this resort was more than our expectations. The best part of this resort is its location just on the beach. The resort offers cottage and double rooms. Cottages are the highlight of the property though they do not face the sea. Each cottage has a small sitting area with a table and chairs to relax if you are bored within the room. Any point of time you want to go to sea, you will have to just walk 50 mtrs and you would be in touch with sea waves. The sand of the beach here does not stick to your body though its not white as Kashid. You also get free duck watching as resort has too many of them moving around your cottages.
The best thing about the Golden Swan beach resort is its location. It is located almost on the beach and you can just walk to the beach at anytime. We got a bit late in starting from Mumbai and reached the resort after 3 pm. The restaurant there announced that there was no luch available, and only a very limited variety of snacks were available. We had to trek to a smal nearby restaurant to satiate aour hunger (and the food at this small eatery was authertic malwani, an excellent experience). The rooms are just OK. We found them to be a bit small and the floor of our room would get wet at times due to a lot of moisture. The resort itself is not very big, with the entrance just on the main road. The sounds of all passing by vehicles is slightly unpleasant while just lounging in the resort. But this is all compensated by the nearness of the beach. The resort had facilities to play carrom, badminton, plyarea of little children and bicycles to ride on. The bicycle rental charges are a bit on the higher side. The have a number of ducks and cocks and hens, which my little son enjoyed running after. Beware of some of the ducks, they will try to bite you. Overall just a nice, relaxing time. Do not expect any great exhilirating moments, and no major disappointments.
I had been to Golden Swan multiple times and it's one of my favorite resort. The staff is very co-operative and always ready to help. I had taken my office staff of 40 members and friends and relatives consisting 30 members on 2 occasions and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the stay and food. Resort is very quiet and close to the beach. Thanks to Kamlesh and the entire team of Golden Swan. I would like to visit this place again.
Stay at Golden Swan Beach Resort was pleasant and comfortable. Its greatest asset is its location and ambience. The resort is very well maintained and leaves a positive impression as soon as you enter its front gate. Walk out of the rear gate and you straight way walk into the beach! The resort is dotted with coconut and casurina trees leaving a superb ambience.
