The course was laid down by the British Civil Service Officers at a location known as 'Laban' in the year 1898. Initially started as a 9-hole course, it was transformed to 18-holes in 1924. Also known as 'Gleneagle of the East', it stands amidst pine groves and rhododendron trees at an altitude of 5,200 ft. above sea level.
The replica of the Old Links at St. Andrews, situated in the backdrop of snow-covered Himalayan ranges, hosts tournaments in the months of October to December.
