I had been to Mahabaleshwar in the month of December 2016. The destination of the hotel was excellent, since I liked nature. My hotel location was excellent, as it was easily accessible. I liked the hotel appearance of the hotel as it was spacious. Booking and front office was excellent since the staffs were prompt and friendly. Service in the hotel was excellent, as they were polite. The room I stayed was excellent, as it was comfortable for two families with nice balcony. The food in the hotel was excellent in taste and quantity. There was spa, gym, Wi-Fi and conference hall facility in the hotel. It was vacation trip with my family. I booked the hotel directly. Overall experience was excellent.
Please don't go to hotel gaurish, mahabaledhwar. You might be infected with HIV. Don't change linens, towels after guests leave. Room smells. Please don't use Bathroom s. Toilets don't work. Shankar, the manager is out there to cheat you. Very rough and rude behavior. Nightmare experience
Visited with my family in August 2016. 6 kms from main market. Can be say in dense forest. Wind and clouds are always very near to us at the hotel. Whistling wind can be hear through out night in room. Very fast and prompt service. Check in and check out time is permissible. Rooms are good enough. 2 double beds are in the room. 2 Children can accommodate easily without any extra charge. Food quality is ooooommmmaaaa. Finger biting taste. Room service is also fast. Mr. Jayesh of room service is so kind and fast. Manager and other staff was also helpful. Small children play station is very nice with various things like swing, slides, sea saw, trampoline, marry go round etc.... GYM and carrom for adults is available. No other activity is available. Can reach only with private vehicle only. Ketes point and old mahabaleshwar temple are nearer points from hotel.
The Hotel was good. A bit far from the market place........... A very good place to stay during rainy season. The hotel food was okay as well........ The services were prompt. Housekeeping was good as well...... Overall a good place to stay......................
Service was not so good & far from the market area. & very expensive... Need more improvement & meet to understand customer problem.other side for food it was excellent. That's all...........................................................,..............
I visit this place with my husband and my son as a weekend trip.Sleeping arrangement is good but bedsheets are not clean so i must say houskeeping service needs improvement.Food quality is excellent means childeren can also enjoy food. Just one thing this place is far from market so if you love shopping you must have your own vechicle. And if love mountain then its good for you.
Hotel is located at very good place, full of nature and greenery, out of main city, service is average, food is not that much good, but still OK. Staff is friendly but not proactive, have to ask for change bad sheet and such small task. otherwise hotel is quite good and fun to be there
very nice hotel. Very good service. Tv , bathroom facility excellent. very specious.Hotel view is also good from outside. very calm place staff also operative and safe. we look lots of snaps inside and outside hotel. food quality was very good. gardens etc in the hotel
Location is good.No cleanness in room or bathrooms.Very dirty and used bed sheet pillow cover and towels.Staff did not changed these after request. 1 extra room was hired by us ,payment was taken by staff but no bill or receipt was issued to us. Entry of extra room was not done in register and total money paid by me was gone to the pocket of staff. Kitchen was very dirty & uncleaned .Mosquito and flies and spiders were there at the roof and were droping in our plates.Tea was served in cracked cups. Over all it was a very bad experience to we people. This hotel is not good for Country Club India. Santosh Agrawal Aligarh 25th May 2015
The location is isolated but accessible by public and private transport. The hotel is located at beautiful place .. a little inside the forest area. The rooms are spacious and enough for 6 people. The rooms service is pretty good enough. The food provided is good. Besides they have place for outdoor activities and place for children to play. The rates are negotiable and decent. The overall experience was very good.
There are not such good amenities in this hotel, but it has good location in jungle and quite beautiful surrounding a can watch sunrise from hotel itself also the food provided by them and the snacks is very tasty and not too costly as served in hotels or in the market. The rooms provided by them were also good it contains refrigerator, TV, phone, attached toilet with bath tub and good service. Even the manager and country club person gives good advice about the sight seeing and other thing to do there and what to watch, purchase and etc. It was a great experience visiting there with my family, my wife and two kids. We had enjoyed a lot as we stayed for four days. There is a children play park and every one there are supportive.
Hotel Gourish is much before the main gateway - checkpoint to the town, infact it is on the way to the old mahabaleshwar town and it is easy to get lost as the road leading up to the hotel is forested, quaint and shady with almost no traffic at all on either side. As there are no signboards, you need to rely on locals to guide you up to the hotel. The hotel does not boast of any amenities like a pool or games etc, so be sure to cary your own stuff to kick up some fun. The amenities in the room were good..LCD TV, hot water, clean matresses, quick service. If you are looking to have fun, this certainly is not a place for you. however if you are looking for some peace and relaxation, this is the palce to be. The food quality is good and largely local food. Veg as well as N. veg food is available and generally made on order, so expect some waiting time. Finding public transport in and around the hotel is dificult so ensure that you have your own car or have a pre-arranged transport. On a overall basis a good place if you are looking to chill and relax.
Just back from a long stay at Gourish Mahabaleshwar. A relaxed holiday in the lap of nature. The resort is nested in dense forests, home to deer, wild boars and the ever elusive cheetah. The rooms are reasonably good, offering a panoramic view of the forest and the table-land beyond. Running hot water available, the house keeping staff were very prompt in their services and always there at your beck and call. One with a keen ear can hear the cries of different birds and the lucky can even spot these winged guests on the numerous Jamun trees loaded with blackberries (of course at this time of the year). Occasionally you may find a black-faced langur peering and frowning at through the thick foliage of the trees.. Though the restaurant claims to offer multi cuisine variety, it is unfortunately far from it. Of course , the restaurant manager Deepak Bhaiya goes out of the way to pamper you and the demands of your palate. Inspite of the earnest efforts of Deepak Bhaiya and his team, be prepared to dig into sweet Upma/ Dosa/ veggies/ even chicken. Now to the not-so-good part: Since Gourish is 7 kms away from the main town, i.e. the market place, you are totally cut off from the outside world once you are inside. Hence it is advisable to have your own vehicle with or else you will really feel the pinch on pocket every time you think of venturing out. Those who are planning a holiday with children, do carry a stock of grub enough to last you through your stay. If you don't mind these little inconveniences, then go ahead and plan next getaway here. You will not regret it, I promise.
Hotel's location was good. There was no problem in reaching the hotel. I visited there by my own car. Services of the staff were not good. Service people were not helpful and hygienic. Interiors and exteriors of the hotel were good. Rooms were not well-maintained there. Everything was not in clean condition. I took non-AC room. They had solar heater. TV was working fine. No view was available from there. Food was not good. Both veg and non-veg food was available there. No issues during check in and check out. I was not happy with the hotel stay. No activity was there. Sightseeing trip was not arranged by them. I will not recommend it to anyone.
The resort is located far away from the crowded and bustling market place nested in the peace and quiet of the green forest. Has scenic views of the surrounding panorama. The staff is prompt and courteous and very helpful as they quickly unloaded all our luggage and guided us to a clean and well equipped room. Since my wife was feeling cold, the caretaker immediately gave us additional blankets. They provided us with drinking water regularly and promptly. And not to forget, it was mid December 2013 and my wife was feeling sick due to cold at night so I requested the staff to light a camp fire with wood, else the condition could have become serious. The staff did it for us without charging anything for the same. All to their courtesy. Also she needed some medicine for which the staff went to the main market at night and brought the same for us. The hotel food is good and very homely which I and my wife liked very much. I would certainly recommend one more stay at Hotel Gourish!
