The Grand Dragon Reviews
I arrived on 29th March 16 and stayed upto 31st March 16. I found the staff to be very courteous, the ambience is really good and complimentary breakfast service needs improvement but dinner is ok. Wifi was not available during my period of stay, the support staff understanding of English in Leh is a big plus.
PROS: 1) Centrally heated. 2) 24-hour electricity. 3) Running & hot water. CONS: 1) Third-class, illiterate, goon-like reception staff keen to loot you with forced extras! 2) Lacks most of the important facilities like Spa and Library that are mentioned on MMT. 3) Lacks internet connectivity (though it is mentioned as 'Complimentary Wi-Fi'....Read More
The Grand Dragon is truly grand & it stands by its name. We arrived at the hotel around 6 pm September 16th after a very average visit from Nubra Valley. However we were not given any kind of grand welcome such as a welcome drink like in other hotels like The Khyber. Though the staff is friendly, welcoming & helpful all the time. We stayed in th....Read More
A very nice stay. The staff was tremendously helpful and courteous. The locals in the region are really genuine and you can feel their warmth. Totally untouched by the urban life. You can really witness humanity at its best. The rooms are really well done and warm.
Typical Ladakhi women in their reception welcomed us on arrival. The furniture and beds in the room were clean and cosy. The hotel offered free wi-fi per room, hot water shower, and an in room refrigerator. The best part is oxygen cylinders in the hotel for guests who feel uneasy due to the altitude go this region. The afternoon high tea, snacks an....Read More

It was my birthday when we checked in for dinner and I was touched by the gesture- the hotel manager not just gifted me some postcards but also made sure all of the staff joined in as we cut the cake. Thank you for the wonderful memories - this place will always remain special for me.
The hotel has good facilities, WiFi, central heating, gym and restaurant. Helped keep us warm and cosy when the temperature outside was subzero. We were given a room with the scenic views and absolutely loved it. Complimentary breakfast was ok but loved the inroom dining food. Service was on-par with business hotels across India. No restaurants nea....Read More
This is probably the best hotel in Leh. Now best also means expensive and it is damn expensive. That's why we stayed only one night and it was a treat. The staff is very courteous and you would not feel that, you are in a remote area of India. The building is very well designed and probably should have been the Kings' Palace. A lot of foreigners we....Read More

We stayed at the Grand Dragon for 2 days for our mini-honeymoon. We were very comfortable and enjoyed the property and also experienced the most excellent hospitality from the staff each moment of our stay. Of particular note was the way in which Shafeeq took care of us - he was professional, conscientious and very sincere. My husband was struggling with altitude sickness and Shafeeq made everything ok, arranging for a doctor, checking in with us regularly, making sure we were comfortable. Rohit was also very good to us during our stay.

A lot of foreigners were staying there and we had a blast discussing our travel experience over a delicious diner.
My experience of this hotel is unforgettable. Visited Leh Ladakh back in winters but seems as if it all happened yesterday. Hotel rooms were very well furnished and clean, also the hotel staff and management deserves 10/10 for their hospitality. And who can forget their awesome food with wide variety to choose from. Food was the best part of this hotel. The view of snow covered mountains was delighting from our room. They made arrangements for our pickup and sightseeing. Will surely be staying there again if visited Ladakh again.
The hotel was very nice. The hotel was excellent. The hotel provides parking facility for the tourists. The food provided was very good quality, quantity and variety wise. The location of the hotel was very good. There was no delay in check in and checkout procedure. The appearance of the hotel was very nice. It was heritage property. The hotel was above average. The services were good. It looks old, but it was very well maintained. The hotel was recommendable to other travellers. It was little bit on the expensive side.
Lovely property, walking distance to town. Nice and clean with fancy TV and friendly staff. Food not too good but part of package is making it worthwhile. Definitely nicest and luxurious place in Leh. If you are travelling Ladakh there is no better place then Hotel Grand Dragon for the best experience.
