Grand Habib Hotel, Srinagar
Zero Bridge, Rajbagh Next to Modern Hospital Srinagar
I visited Srinagar in the month of April for family tour. The destination was excellent. The location was very good. The appearance was good. The services were very good. The rooms were good and cleaned. The front office was very good. The activities were terrible.
We went to Kashmir for the first time and we enjoyed a lot the whole trip. The Hotel Grand Habib was fabulous in providing all the comfort and service which we were expecting. It's not at much distance from Srinagar airport(about 25 to 30 min. ) The amenities were excellent like the Bed Heater equipped bed, separate room heater, the LED TV set with dish TV connection, cleanliness of the room, surrounding were good, mattress, blanket, curtains, lighting, ventilation of the room, bathroom, everything was excellent. One could easily get a nice sleep and a very good time at that new place which is a very good thing. The services, hospitality and the behaviour of the team is excellent right from the check in counter, hotel restaurant to the ground level staff. They all are very good in handling request timely and courteously. The quality and the taste of the food and the number of varieties in the main course was unforgettable. On our 6D & 5N trip, we stayed 2D&2N at Grand Habib and most of the time it came to mind that it is easily possible and very helpful to visit places like Sonmarg, Gulmarg, Srinagar, Pahalgam being in this single hotel only as this would not require to take our luggage from one place to another again and again. I should give 7/7 rating but just there is always a scope for improvement. Otherwise the hotel is awesome.
Greeted by warm smiles by the staff of the hotel was the first gesture that made my stay memorable at this place. After helping us checking in to our rooms, it was dinner time; and the dinner was simply amazing! The delicious smell was more than enough to give us hunger pangs from a floor above. Breakfast the day after was also nice (had all the tetra-packs of Real juice to choose from - as many times as you like) Rooms were nice and clean. One thing that wasn't good was the cramped up elevator. It was so claustrophobic and small, and there was only one elevator. Given that it's a hotel with more than 3 floors, this setback is what they need to fix. Otherwise, it was a good hotel. The staff was pretty friendly, even learned a couple of lines in Kashmiri from them! Even arranged some medication for my eye infection from a nearby pharmacy. Recommended for sure.

Location of the hotel was average. Food was hygienic but taste was not good for us. Appearance of the hotel was good. Room was spacious and well-maintained. AC, TV, geyser or everything was available there. View was not there. Both veg and non-veg food was there but we are vegetarian so we took only veg food there. I am happy with room. Room was good.
