Stay was nice in this hotel. Location was up to the mark. Hotel was located at 15 mins distance to the railway station. I went there before one year. Behaviour of the staff member was polite. Services were fast and on time. Inner and outer look of the hotel was average. Check-in and check-out facility was smoothly. Food facility was available and it was tasty. Food cost was reasonable. Indoor and outdoor activities were not available. I booked my room online. Rooms were neat and clean but it was small. AC, TV, geyser and other basic amenities were available in the room. I stayed for two days in this hotel and they cleaned the room regularly. Kodaikanal place is good for travel. I will recommend this hotel for travellers. There should be some improvements in food. Parking facility was available but it was limited. I went there with my family for sightseeing in March,2013.
When we entered the township of Kodaikanal, we never had an idea of how our place of stay would be. Around 3 pm after lunch, we were all guided towards hotel grand palace. It was difficult for us to guess from outside, how the interior of your residency would be. But when we stepped in we understood that we have chosen the right place of stay. The reception was quite fascinating. While receiving the room keys we were still curious about how the rooms allotted for us would be. Contrary to our expectation, we saw that the rooms were well designed for a comfortable stay. Spacious cots, cosy mattresses and woollen blankets were apt for that climatic condition. We enjoyed watching TV for few hours with our kids and family members. A hot water bath in the chill morning was also thrilling. We had a nice time in clicking photographs inside as well as outside the hotel. While handing over the key to the reception at the time of departure, we felt sad. But we decided that any time we visit Kodai, we should stay only at grand palace. This stay shall remain as an everlasting memory in our life.
It was a comfortable stay and it was a family trip. There were no problem in reaching this hotel and the hotel location was good. We went in our own vehicle and the surrounding of the hotel was good. The interior and exterior of the hotel were well-maintained. The staff service was quick and neat and there was no delay at check-in and check-out. The rooms were well-maintained with clean pillows and bedspreads amenities like AC, TV and geyser facility. They provided food it was very good with both veg and non-veg and it was less expensive. We arranged for sightseeing on our own. It is value for money and recommendable for other travellers.
The location of the hotel was very good and convenient. The hotel did not provide pick up and drop facility. They can provide it in the future. The surroundings of the hotel were good. Staff behaviour was helpful and friendly. They were quick to attend to our requests. There was no delay in check-in and check-out time. The hotel looked good both internally and externally. The room was spacious, neat, clean and well-maintained. They changed the pillows, bed sheets and blankets daily. Complimentary toiletries were provided. Amenities in the room were functioning properly. There was no view from the room. 24 hours hot water facility was available. They cleaned the room regularly. Quality and variety of breakfast was good. The hotel didn’t provide any activities. Their hospitality was good. They should have some activities in the hotel.
The hotel is at the right spot. It has got good activities. The famous Kodai lake is very close to this so, you can enjoy boating as well as you can have a quick walk over there. The rooms of the hotel are well-maintained and the room service was also cooperative. The food over here was just excellent and you can experience various cuisines.
