Excellent food and hospitality

Posted 2 Jan, 2016

We stayed in a cottage as the bungalow was fully booked over the Christmas weekend. A single room cottage it was but excellent for privacy. Calling room service was a problem but the staff were always positive and humble. Excellent food and hospitality. Amazing location tucked amidst coffee plantation and slightly difficult to reach unless you have proper GPS or clear directions from the resort. Not very far from belur and halebid temples and one hour away from chikmagalur. Highly recommended

Rooms and furnishings are of traditional type

Posted 31 Oct, 2013

Visited this resort along with my family during October 2012 pooja holidays. Probably one of the decent resort near Belur and Halebid . . Resort Manager and staff are very friendly and polite. Rooms and furnishings are of traditional type: bathrooms are spacious and clean even after four years of its functioning. The resort is located in a large estate and you will be awakened by the by the noise of peacocks. If you are lucky you can spot them during your morning walk. Food is homely, traditional and tasty. Variety rice and rice are specifically nice. Better you give your options in advance. Fresh vegetable soups if added in the menu will be better.

We were on a family outing, rather an adventurous one (me, my wife and kid of 1yr) to Belur and this place was the best we could be in. Loved the concept of traditional look they gave to the entire place and the service could not have been better. I need to specially mention Lakshmikant (local manager) who ensured every guest is looked after properly. Had a nice time...

As a solo female traveler I found this place very safe and yet a complete getaway experience. The place is accessible by Autos from Belur and slightly difficult to reach without private transport but staff helps you with shuttle.

Good & peaceful stay

Posted 29 Aug, 2015

The Green Pastures is peaceful and serene set among a coffee plantation. The staff were very attentive and helpful. Food served is simple, delicious and gives an authentic home cooked feeling. The rooms are clean and a central courtyard adds to the rustic environment. A good place to go, if you want to get away from a hectic city life. Would recommend this hotel to others.

This hotel is totally surrounded by the lush green environment (even the coffee and spice plants were there) and really provides a loving stay. Season doesn't matter, you will always love this place. They provide good and well furnished rooms, also neat and clean bathrooms. Temples and markets are at walking distance from there so no problem for a family members. Good for everyone.
