Ranked 1 of 17 hotels in Harihareshwar
I went with my family and friends to this hotel. The hotel had no service at all. The area is pretty large but the rooms are extremely small and full of pests like bed bugs and mosquitos. There is no staff at all and the owners themselves would give you the prerequisites that too very half heartedly. Bed size is too small and length is not sufficient for a normal person to sleep. The owners seemed very inhospitable and least interested to help you. I would never suggest anyone to go or stay in this hotel. Better sleep in your car than this hotel.
It is at Shrivardhan and we were told good hotels are scarce there. But we found this hotel and since we had to stay we booked this hotel. Rooms were all AC good facilities modest appearance .Good if you have family with you . food is available on prior order. Beach is near parking is also available. Very reasonable too. Overall safe for an overnight stay
Had been on a trip to Harihareshwar and Shriwardhan. After browsing through the list of hotels available on travel portal came across Green Gate. Did not book it immediately and continued browsing through other options. As all others were sold out or were not too my liking opted for Green Gate as found it to be decent enough. After a long drive from Mumbai reached the resort in the evening (check in time was 11 am).As I drove through the gate noticed few families which had already checked in enjoying in the small garden. Went to the reception (actually there is no such thing as a reception, it was an area where tables and chairs were set and people could have their lunch, brkfast or dinner). The owner Mrs Jain was very courteous. We first had tea and then proceeded to our rooms. We had booked two rooms as there were 4 of us,These were AC rooms and had amenities like LCD TV, AC,attached bathroom with geyser. Outside the room was a mini garden with cocnut trees, tulsi plant, flower plants and also swings and slides for children. There is parking space for around 10 cars.In all there were 6 rooms. The owner takes care of the entire property and has domestic help as well. Lucnh , dinner or breakfast can be had at the resort but proior intimation needs to be provided.Beware it is fully veg cuisine, Near to the resort on a 5 min walking distance is the beach and another 2 kms away is the Harihareshwar Temple. Stay was comfortable. Enjoyed it. Only hitch was that the water through the taps is from a well. Stayed April 2015
Ambience of the resort was very nice and no problem was faced in finding the location of the resort. The overall experience was very nice as the owner and the other staff members were very friendly and co-operative, whatever was requested they arranged for it quickly. The room was okay, suitable for middle class people and all the amenities like A.C., TV, etc were in working condition. Food was tasty and delicious. I could able to see a beautiful view outside the hotel and the hotel was recommendable to other travellers.
Hotel is conveniently located and near to bus stand. Hotel interior decoration is just awesome. The staffs and their service were up to the mark and highly professional. Room was comfortable, luxurious, spacious, neat and clean with best equipped amenities at the place. Pillows and bed sheets were clean enough. Neat Bathroom with shower facilities. Food was good and delicious with lot of Indian verities. No delay during check in and check-out. They stay and overall experience was great. It is one of the best hotel to consider for excellent stay.
I was been visited this hotel in a religious trip with my family and I enjoyed the stay. There were no issues faced to locate the hotel and it was located near to the temple. The appearance of the hotel was good and has normal looks. The service at the hotel was also good and no delay happened with it. The room I got was good but not spacious and not well maintained. The provided all amenities and I am satisfied with the room and services.
It was a plesant and excellent experience stay in green gate resort. I had also recommended my friends and colleagues to stay in green gate resort in harihareshwar if they plan to visit harihareshwar in futher. Food served is home made food so no spice and test is as home made food. Rooms are very clean and tidy. AC are also in working condition. Over all hospitality is excellent.
I went to harihareshwar in may 2014 stay for 2 night at greengate resort it can be a good expireance but hotel is in under construction and not much staff food is satisfied but it's like our house room n all also OK not bad so we can go for this hotel for new experience and most plus point is beach is near from the hotel rates also economical so I am happy.
1. I had gone with my husband and 2 daughters younger one just a year old. 2.The hotel was good but is totally in an isolated area, like with kids if you need anything late in the evening it won't be possible to go out and get it .... 3.As shown in the picture the dining area and garden is not the same....dining area has become place for drivers to stay and play area not so clean with no grass only stones which is not safe for kids... 4.Rooms are neat and clean no doubt with good services 5Food is ok ,only vegetarian maharashtrian food is served with very limited choice, and even for breakfast very limited choice. 6.to get non vegetarian food one has to go out and find near the beach side, some restaurants provide non veg food, but that also one cannot go out after 7pm.so you are left with no choice and have to eat that food only which is served in hotel.
It is a great place to visit. The hotel surrounding and food is very good. We just liked it. The rates too are reasonable and it was a worth of experience. The most visited places too are near the hotel. I would visit again for sure.... Must visit place!
It is best resort I seen in Harihareshwar. Though it is a small resort the welcome was unforgettable. It is good for kids as well as for olds as it is owned by a doctor. The food was very delicious. Beach was also near from resort. There was many facilities.
Highlight was definitely the homely stay , the regular tea service without even asking for it. Breakfast was served with lots of warmth, not just that of the food served. The lady of the house was ever smiling and would regularly enquire about our requirements. The food served was non-greasy yet tasty; heavy on satisfaction, but light on digestion. There was variety in vegetables served daily, one dry other gravy based. Two varieties of dal along with papad, pickle, rotis smeared with butter, rice and a dessert. All unlimited. Meals were served with utmost promptness and hygiene. There was few aspects which were unlike regular hotels/restaurants like hot milk for children sweetened with sugar and motherly care, hot water when required, bread (despite breakfast being something else). Even excursions were helped out with personal assistance from Mrs. Darshana and Dr. Jain. Suggestions were given when needed the most. The staff needs a pat on their back for their graciousness.
Being a Mumbaikar, since 40 years I was always aware of Family Restaurants, but the real meaning of a Family Restaurant came to my notice, 250kms away from Mumbai at Green Gate Resort, Harihareshwar; where a well-educated family cooks delicious homemade food for other families, with love and compassion making it an experience where you feel like you are at your sweet home
