MGM Hill Worth Resorts Reviews

Guided by other reviewers, I called up the Hotel to confirm my reservation (done through MMT) and they confirmed it. While travelling, I kept on calling them regarding my position and ETA. We got stuck due to the Flower Show) Karthik was very courteous and sounded very helpful all the time. On reaching, they told that they are upgrading me to Grandeur room. Since I am staying only for 1 night, they could do it- probably to maintain continuability with other guests. Good for me! However, they also told non-chalantly that there is a power cut daily at 8-10 am. Since their backup system has some problem, we have to live with it. I wished to see some attempts from their side to rectify it- but, there was none! Their infrastructure is pretty good, of course, no comparison to Taj, my next halt. They do not have much open space except the parking lot- which gives a very good view of the hills. The children's play area is at an elevated place, next to the DG set, which I found rather dangerous place! Food is very good. I was on a Breakfast + Lunch/Dinner package. The amount of Dinner cap set at 1500/- was pretty decent given the rates they have. The room, after the upgrade, was pretty large with separate shower & toilet. However, the toilet was stinky and the basin in the shower was not flowing smooth- soaking us everytime we used it. The room didn't have proper ventilation as well. So, they happily provided us a pedestal fan, when requested. If I am travelling next time, I would stay in this hotel if I have plans to be outdoor most of the time and come back only for dinner. I'd also check on the room before checking in / booking.

Best Experience: Helpful front office staff- Karthik The room itself (apart from the restroom stuff)

Worst Experience: Power-cut (and no backup) from 8-10am

MGM Hill Worth Resort is a very nice and well maintained resort. The experience was superb. We stayed there for two days and it was excellent stay at MGM Hill Worth Resort. worth paying the money. Food was tasty .

We had been on an package tour to places in Tamil Nadu. Had been to this resort in Coonnoor which was awesome. Stayed for two days, in a descent rooms which was clean and staffs are very helpful. Food was awesome especially the dinner was amazing.

The journey was really awesome because it’s a hill station,we enjoyed to the core,early morning you can see the nature seens,Nice rooms and well maintained,the hotel people guided us very well about the tourist places,the climate is dam cold especially in winter season,the food was good and even the staff were friendly and helpfull,,,even the rooms are very spacious you dont feel conjusted..i can tell that its a best place to stay and its reasonable also..

Best Experience: journey and the nature view from the hotel was amazing

Coonoor is peaceful when compared to ooty.The hotel nothing much to boast about. The service needs to improve and the staff needs to be more active the service was a little slow and we specifically wanted our food spicy but that wasnt the case. There may be other places one can check into.
