The overall experience was good... Hospitality is the highlight... Sharat and his wife were very good. Helped us in each and every instance... Food is good... Coffee is amazing. It is amidst coffee estate and not very far form Chikmagalur.
It is situated in nice place in coffee estates. Rooms are nice. Especially food and coffee is good. Night fire camp activities are there. Trucking is there near to home stay and falls is there. Its good place for a day. It's situated in aldur 25 km from Chikamagalur.
Halligadde has 4 cottages in a very greenery surrounding and clean environment. Ample parking space. Coffee was served as and when asked for. We didn't opt for dinner hence, cannot comment about the food. Though breakfast was quite good with nice idlis, chutney and curry. And of course strong Chikmagalur coffee. Bonfire was arranged during the night in chilled weather which was good. The owner took us for coffee plantation walk early morning which was a nice experience. They have a nice big swing in the common area. There's a small space for the kids to take bath in the common area which was not so well maintained. The room was clean with nice sheets. There were no mosquitoes in the room. There was provision for hot water in the bath. Everything was good except the bed in our room which was making lot of noise while sleeping at night which when informed to the owner, he told he would take care of it. P. S. The owner gave us 2 big papayas from his farm as souvenirs while leaving the home stay. Conclusion : Nice place.
