Hampi food, sight-seeing and shopping options
This place as i have mentined earlier has lot of places to visit but my advice would be to travel in your own vehicle or take a package through kstdc. There is tungabhadra dam close by & also a place which not many people know about is a small town called Sandur around 40 kms from Hampi which has a beautiful resort named wonder valley which has a water park, go karting, camel & horse riding. Good place to visit if time permits.

Hotel Review of Kishkinda Heritage Resort
Comments: we reached the reosrt around 8.30pm. The road was completely dark. The manager helped us reach the spot without any problem. The rooms are very different from the rest of resorts. The green lush fields and the mountains in the background made the place very relaxing. The staff is very good. We enjoyed the special service from the staff. THe resort has also a small pond and lots of water sports open for public. The water used is fresh flowing water from the river near by. overall experience of stay for a overnight stay was very satisfactory.
Best Experience: there was nothing much special about the experience as we were there for one day. But we did see lots of foreign tourists coming in the late evening and leaving for hampi sight seeing by 5.00am
Resorts staff was up by 4.00am to arrange for thier breakfast and other ammenities.

Hotel Review of Kishkinda Heritage Resort
The reason we chose this resort was because it featured on holidayiq. We were planning a short trip to run-in our new car and Hampi featured on the short list. The kids studying about Krishnadevaraya in school was an added incentive. We took the Bangalore-Chitradurga-Hospet route and stretches were bad. On the way back we were advised (by folks at the resort) to take the Bellary-Ananthpur-Bangalore Road and there were stretches with no road at all! In short don't drive...

Hotel Review of Kishkinda Heritage Resort
I spent the weekend in a very remote part of India with 20 colleagues. We stayed at an isolated hotel. The hotel itself is a village of 20 cottages. Its located in beautiful rural area surrounded by rock gardens and rice farms. We arrived on Saturday and spent the day walking around ruins (I rented a scooter for a several hours as well). The ancient city is called Hampi, and large temples and ruins are all around. The main temple has...

Hotel Review of Kishkinda Heritage Resort
We arrived at Kishkinda resorts on 14th of Jan 2006. The resort is next to a PUBLIC water park, which is owned by the resort. The Water park was full of people. The water was dirty and we could not even think of getting into it. Most of the men were drunk. They have a common restaurent of both water park and resort where they had very limited menu....
