Hanuman Ghat was considered to be built by Lord Rama, and was earlier called as Ramesvaram Ghat. It is dedicated to Lord Hanuman, the disciple of Lord Rama. As he represents great strength, this place attracts the body builders and wrestlers. It was here that it is said that Vallabhacharya, the Vaishnava saint told about the glories and the stories of Lord Krishna to his disciples.
