Hotel Review of Suvidha Delux Hotel
Comments: Hotel is centrally located, 2 kms from haridwar railway station( Rs 60/- by auto). it's 100m from the main road hence fairly peaceful. Nice airy rooms (AC ones are better- offer TV, mini Fridge). Can bargain to get better deals especially on working days as the rush is less(could get a discount of Rs 500/- for an AC room against the regular price of Rs 1550/-). staff is receptive, polite n quite helpful.
Best Experience: staff helped arrange a taxi for local sight seeing at mussorie from haridwar at the cheapest possible rates (Rs 1400/-). Also helped identify good eateries around -chotiwala (good quality indian food, AC restaurant, reasonable prices - located near valmiki chowk n bridge on the main road) There are innumerable Chotiwalas -so do make sure u are heading to the right one.
Worst Experience: the exhaust fan at the toilet was not working n could not be repaired while we were there.
the hotel boasts of a restaurant - but not frequented by many. the kitchen was dirty.
the AC power supply is controlled by the staff at the reception! do make sure they don't switch it off - to save on power bills at ur expense.

it was a fine experience. The major drawbacks being lift and air condition. This is the best hotel for group stays....

we were a group of 9 pax during the period of Mahashivratri 2008- we booked 4 rooms and were well look after. we stayed for 2 nights only had to leave as 1 child was sick....
