We, a group of three, went to Gokarna for a pilgrimage. In the strict sense of the word Hariptiya Residency is not a hotel. It is a place run by a wife-and-husband team in the first floor of their house. So there is no formal front office and other such paraphernalia. It is a good and safe place for a night's rest. Value for money. The surroundings are peaceful. The first floor has 5 rooms which open in to a common hall. Room and bathroom (attached) are clean. Bed linen is clean. No towels are provided. Soap is provided. Hot water is provided by a bucket. Morning coffee / tea is on the house. For the rest I. E. Breakfast, lunch and dinner one can go to a nearby restaurant. The food in the restaurant is average. The lady manages the show. A very pleasant, courteous and helpful person. She helped us with arrangement of a taxi to travel from Gokarna to Sringeri. Very good and reasonably priced taxi service. She can also arrange for a Pandit / Archaka who would go with you to the temple and perform rituals according to your requirement. There is a peculiar arrangement in the Mahabaleswar temple - one has to buy a ticket for any Seva like Abhishekam only through an Archaka / Pandit. So it may be advisable if one gets the Archaka arranged at the hotel. Gokarna is a small basti known only for Mahabaleswar temple. So this accomdation is good for pilgrimage visit. If one is interested in beach visits one may go for a beach resort. Finally I can say this accommodation is good value for the money one pays. Comfortable for families. I would safely recommend it for any family visiting Gokarna for pilgrimage.
This hotel is at a very good location. Surrounding there are many temples so we can go by walking and very less time take to go by walk. There front side is good looking and there interior is good. There property is very good. Rooms is very good and there surrounding of hotel is very clean. There are parking facility and other facility available. There rooms are very clean and there toilet bathroom is attached with room. There restaurant is very good there food is very tasty and very good quantity. There are all types of food available. There food cost is cheep. There staff and manager behaviour is very good. If you want stay there three four days so this hotel is good. It is very good location near railway station and bus depot.
We planned a two day stay in Gokarna along with our family consisting of 12 members in total. We looked up in the net and found good feedback for Haripriya Residency. We booked for our stay well in advance. Upon reaching the place, we felt a bit anxious looking at the exterior of the building. But our thoughts of anxiety drained off no sooner than we got into the house. It was our first experience of home stay. We had excellent service in all the five rooms we occupied with every need of ours being taken care. Mr and Mrs Anand took great care to make us feel relaxed and comfortable.Be it in serving us piping hot tea/coffee, preparing home made lunch/dinner, providing medical attention when we fell sick, playing with our kids or arranging a quick birthday party for us; they made us experience a perfect holiday atmosphere. We enjoyed a much dreamier stay than we imagined. We left with heavy hearts and definetely wish to return again. Despite being located away from the beach this place is highly worthy of stay for its hosts and their hospitality, not to mention its humble price
The Hotel is good. We have got very good service. Overall experience was very nice. For Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner you have to go outside. In Hotel this facility is not available. Restaurants are close-by with varieties of food. Rooms was clean and well maintained. Beach is near. It's 10 minutes walk-able distance.
One best place I have ever stayed. I slept in the room on the ground floor clean, big enough, bathroom okay. The owner, who lives with his son, is welcoming and discreet. She helped us find a place to sleep in the city where we'd moved, calling you by your phone numbers of hotels. Breakfast available (in the kitchen, on the terrace or in the conservatory entrance). I highly recommend it, I spent three nights sleeping well (no noise) and feeling like was at home.
