Havelock Island food, sight-seeing and shopping options
Food to me was standard, being a Bengali I had tasted better and much more variety of Fish Preparations. The Food i.e., local food served at Star Hotels does not have much variety.
Best Star Hotel Food: Wild Orchid Resort
Must Eat Lobster and enjoy the sweet coconut water.
Site Seeing: Radha Nagar Beach, Vijay Nagar Beach, Forest and Mountains.
Do not Buy any thing as they are quite expensive you will get similar things cheaper at Port Blair.
Do not miss the Beaches (Especially Radhanagar (Beach No. 7)and Vijay Nagar(Beach No. 5)) and go for the elephant Rides. Just Enjoy your stay
All Sightseeing activities are for nature lovers.

Hotel Review of Bay View Inn
Comments: It's a nice little place to put up at Havelcock Island, where most of your day is going to be spent outdoors exploring the beaches & enjoying the marine life. The rooms are just big enough to sleep two persons & keep your luggage & they come with attached bath. The price is just right @ Rs. 650 per room per night for Non A/c accomodation. They also have A/c accomodation with slightly better interiors at Rs. 1100 - 1200. The rooms & bathrooms are clean with 24 hrs. water. They have a total of just 9 rooms. It's situated right on beach no. 1 but this beach is rocky & one may not enjoy swimming & relaxing here when one can do the same at Radhanagar beach (The best beach I have seen) 20 mins. away. A restaurant is attached with this place which offer veg & non veg food at reasonable rates. The surrounding is full of coconut & other trees. We were given an aloof cottage near the entrance, the other cottages (rooms) which are next to the restaurant being 100 mtrs. away from this cottage. But that was not a problem, as we felt that we were put up in a small cottage with our own private garden. All in all a nice & cheap place to sleep & eat while you explore the islands during day time.
Best Experience: Best experience would be the Jain food they prepared specially for us on all days. Also our luggage kept near reception after checking out was untouched for nearly 6 hrs. till we picked it up. The staff & the owner were courteous & helpful.
Worst Experience: They do not provide towels to their guests. Apart from that no bad eperience, as we mainly used the place to sleep & eat remaining out for the whole day exploring the beautiful Havelock Islands.
