Himalayan Residency is an exception hotel in the cool nature lap. The view from the hotel is quite enchanting. Staff of the hotel are quite friendly and we did not feel away from home. In such a tough hilly area, hospitality is the the thing makes people feel homely & comfortable... that we found there.

Best Experience: After long & tough days journey, we got a good welcome. The building, surrounding were very nice. It was to our utter surprise seeing the morning view from the hotel ... oh! Lovely... & unforgettable. Food was pure vegetarian & we all liked it. The most attractive thing is that, which we rarely found through our journey, is the touchy, home boy feeling of staffs.

Worst Experience: I did not have any bad experience.

We booked Lachung package looking at reviews on internet. I was told that this is a \'High End\' hotel and went there with lots of expectations (paid heavily for the same as well, probably got cheated). I was completely disappointed to see the shabby hotels after reaching there. This is below average/low-cost kind of budget hotel with minimal infrastructure and facilities. So if you are looking for low cost/no-frill budget hotels, you can consider this hotel.

Best Experience: None, except nice staff

Worst Experience: Food was bad, dal with no dal (close to \'yellow\' water). Kitchen was full of mosquitoes, had one small table which could not accommodate all the guests and they declined to serve the food in room. Linen was very shabby, and the staff told us that its the best they had. Bathroom toilet flush was broken, nobody was available at the front desk most of the times to listen to our complaints.

I think best located accommodation in Lachung, North Sikkim. Hosting & Food is excellent, that was an unforgotable stay
