This
is one of the famous attractions in the NalandaUniversity.
It is dedicated to the famous Chinese traveller Hiuen Tsang. This memorial hall is reputed because the legendary Hiuen Tsang
made his visit and lived here as a student and a teacher. He studied Yoga under
the guidance of Acharya Shil Bhadra. Quite a number of tourists visits the
place to see the legendary memorial hall, which was built in the remembrance of
Hiuen.
Hiuen Tsang had mentioned about the perfect education
system and chastity practiced in monastic life at Nalanda. Nalanda is the first
residential international University of the world and it draws Buddhist monks
from all over.
