Hotel Ariya Nivas is a good value for money hotel. Especially for a short stay. It is a good hotel. But not a resort. Good things about the Hotel: 1) Nice clean rooms and bath room 2) Good location - near to Rly stn + Bus stand 3) Good In - house Restaurant (However only VEG menu) 4) They accept credit cards. 5) Tarriff is reasonable. On 1st Jan 2011 ( 1 day stay). Double room - Non AC. I paid Rs. 900 (+ Rs. 150 for extra bed) + Taxes. Bad things: Nothing in particular. May be bit noisy because of lcation in the heart of the city.

Best Experience: 1) The extra bed was a proper cot like bed (foldable cot wheeled into the room on request). Not just a mattress that is to be laid out on the floor (like in some other hotels). 2) They allowed overstay of aobut 3 hours so that I pay only one days rent. 3) OK Room service (though we did not order any food). 4) Good service in the In-house restaurant.

Worst Experience: Nothing in particular about the room itself. However, Food in the is quite spicy, even for me, a South Indian Vegetarian.

The Hotel\'s food was good, location was central. The hotel staff were friendly.

Excellent service. Very Courteous staff. Food is fantastic (Pure Veg). Near to the Trivandrum Station so the location is perfect. Felt the room was a bit small for a double bed but overall experience was very good.

Best Experience: Being pure vegetarians we got excellent Veg food at their restraurant.
