We went to Yelagiri to enjoy the long weekend. The rooms were good but not worth the very high price we had to pay. The bathrooms were not cleaned properly. But we were offered a free upgrade for one of the 2 rooms booked. The hotel does not have a complimentary breakfast or even a news paper to offer the guests. Mosquito menace was another issue. Other than the restaurant which had very limited options besides a highly priced menu, there was a recreation room with a carom board. The chicken used for the dishes seemed to be from a hen who had nothing to eat and only water to drink . . I would advise anyone planning to visit Yelagiri to book at least 1 week in advance to get rooms in some of the good hotels like Kumararaja Palace, Hotel Land Mark etc. Also request not to use travel guru unless you need a very bad deal.
I travelled there with my girlfriend as she came down from Australia for her holidays. The hotel was clean and well maintained, it looked better than the photograph. I couldn't use the television as the cable was very poor and the hotel promised to get WiFi service earlier but it didn't work. The staff gave due respect and the hospitality were good. The housekeeping were much better than the hotels I've stayed. Food was just okay. There's no restaurant nearby. Having own vehicle would be more comfortable. I didn't have the knowledge of adventure sports happening in Yelagiri. I realized it only before an hour of check-out Next time if I'm going to stay in Yelagiri I'd prefer the same hotel but I'd travel in my own vehicle as the auto rickshaw is expensive. There's no tourist places in Yelagiri but it's a good place to take rest and for the adventure Overall a decent holiday I'd say!
Its too good hotel for pleasant and calm stay. Management is too good. South Indian Dishes are good but North Indian Dishes are not up-to the mark. Room Interior was also good. Overall its a good hotel for a calm stay. They are having separate room for the Drivers. We don't want to get confused or get tensed about their driver stay. Cons is they don't have swimming pool, by paying extra charge of 150rs per person they will send you to the next hotel.
Had been with my fiancee to take a break from our tight office schedule. Being close to Chennai, it was quite convenient. Booked the Hotel in Goibibo seeing the comments. Situated in the deep suburbs, the hotel has a beautiful landscape around it. Though, going for a walk after sunset can be little scary as you can hardly find anyone nearby Rooms are quite big and spacious and the room boy was a nice chap, ready to help every time. The hotel management is quite friendly. Had celebrated my birthday inside the room, thereby spreading the cake and poppers all around the room making it dirty. The hotel management hardly had any issues with it There is Peppy Restaurant in the ground floor, which provides average food. Average because the dishes were quite less in number. Had a nice Games room where we can play carrom, chess etc. Adding to the recreation. Security had cleaned my car without me telling him. Worth visiting. The place Yelagiri will steal the show and anyone could hardly stay in the hotel, and will go out exploring. Hope my review will help you.
I wanted a short getaway from Bangalore and planned to visit Yelagiri assuming Yercaud would be far than Yelagiri. The stay at Hill breeze was good and staff were very cooperating. The hotel management is available at all times in the premises and ensures everything is attended. She is very kind and helpful. Finding this hotel could be difficult as it's inside a narrow lane and unexpected returns. If you are not driving, this may not be a good choice. Food is very good at this hotel and I will recommend that you plan all your meal here. Eating anywhere else outside in Yelagiri is crap. There are no good hotels outside and all eateries are very cheap Overall, going to Yelagiri itself is questionable since there is nothing much to do. If you just need a place away from home then you may try. I will suggest Yercaud rather than Yelagiri. Yercaud is amazing place to visit and worth every penny spent. I felt my Yelagiri trip was expensive and the charges at this hotel was higher than Yercuad stay. But this is the standard price in Yelagiri and going lower than this will be cheap.
