This was my second stay at J.H. Bazaz and it was as memorable as the first one. Kashmir, truly the paradise on earth. I wish to come back again and again and every time the choice will be this hotel only. I would rather say this "home" because we never felt out of our home, such a high level of hospitality it was. The owner Sarwar and his father, we would never forget you through out our life time and if God wishes we will meet again and again.

My advice to fellow travelers is even if you are visiting other places like gulmarg, pahalgam, sonmarg etc, stay here and make these spots as sightseeing. All these locations are two-two and half hrs journey from Srinagar and you can easily cover in one day. Even you would like to spend more days in those places, still it would be economical coming back to Srinagar and go next day again, rather than staying in huge costly hotels in those high altitude areas.

If you are looking for, value for money stay, great food, homely atmosphere and 24X7 attention of owner, just get in here with your eyes closed. Location wise slightly off dal lake but it is just two min walking distance and it is better that you won't get the noise of the busy daal road.

Of course if you are habituated staying in four-five star hotels or primarily interested in taking snaps of interior/exterior of hotels for posting on social networking sites then it is not for you. It is, I repeat, not a hotel at all, Just think that you have purchased a second home at Srinagar and part of your family stay there.

This was my third visit to Srinagar and this time it was my honeymoon trip. It was perhaps one of my best decisions ever to choose Hotel J.H. Bazaz this time. We stayed for four days between 5th and 11th February 2014. First two days at cottage which is separate from the main building and last two days at second floor of the main building. Both the properties are very good.

Rooms are clean, fully equipped with heater, electric blankets, lcd tv with cable connections and above all separate geyser in every bathroom for 24 hrs running hot water. It was almost freezing cold at outside but we never felt any problem inside. Breakfast and dinner served were also very good and price was also reasonable. Hotel is just a 3/4 mins walking distance from the Dal Lake, Shikara Stand No 2.

May be one can get all these in some other hotel also but Mr. Sarwar Hussain, the owner of this hotel would be the difference. If anyone wants to feel actual Kashmiri hospitality, please meet this person and stay here once. For our entire seven days trip, I only booked this hotel through email and 50% payment transfer 15/20 days earlier. The rest was taken care by Mr. Hussain. He guided us not like a hotel owner but just like a good friend and well wisher. This man is a perfect gentleman having proper knowledge and without his guidance and advice we could have faced some difficulties. But it was only because of him our trip to Gulmarg and Pahalgam was so exciting and memorable. I should mention the name of the cab driver Abdul Bhai also. He is also a nice person and we enjoyed our journey with him.

I will surely recommend this property to anybody who doesn't want the tag of so called Star Category. This is not star hotel but I felt the warmth and true hospitality from every persons attached with this property. Waiting for the next time to meet Mr. Hussain again.

Its a good place to stay. Its at very budget rate. You will get the best hospitality from Sarwar hussain. Food is good and best guidance from Sarwar. Love to visit this hotel again. We went at winter season to enjoy the snow fall at Gulmarg. Rooms are clean and neat. You will get blanket with heater. Bathrooms are very neat and tidy. Floor is carpet.

I booked rooms for three persons from 30th May to 6th April 2014. I reached the place, received a warm welcome with a cup of Kahwa and coconut cookies. The rooms were neat and tidy with electric Blankets. The bathrooms were also very clean with hot water. My stay was pleasant and every part of the package was honoured with friendly advices. The in-house food choices were nice and were served hot and cooked tasty. Overall, I recommend this welcoming home away home. Mr. Sarwar and his father was really very nice. We indeed are very happy with the hospitality. I have recommended JH Bazaz to many. We will surely comeback now that we have a home in Kashmir.

Thank you Mr. Sarwar for being so generous to arrange for such a wonderful houseboat.

I went with my wife in the month of December. It is off season in Kashmir. we had a very short trip of 3 days only including the day of arrival Mr Sarwar ,the owner of the hotel arranged a pick up vehicle for us and the same vehicle we used for Srinagar sightseeing. so in a way the pickup came as free. He advised us in planning the trip according to our taste, curiosity and pocket. He is such a true friend, neutral advisor and such a sweet person to talk to. I discussed with his father whole heartedly about issues in Kashmir, which was very informative too. Bashir Bhai who was taking care of our needs is gem of a person. He treated my wife as a sister. We were so involved with their sweetness that we called them immediately after reaching home in Delhi. We stayed in the outhouse, it has the privacy, but its the coolest room in the property. But they did everything to make us feel warm. It was truly a home away from home!!!

I visited Srinagar as a tourist to see places in Kashmir. More than the place I shall always cherish the memory of the Hotel and it's staff. Unfortunately my spouse fell sick. The owner Sarwar Hussain was like a family member and came with us to the hospital and made things really easy for us. I have not seen anywhere such a personal involvement from the management for the welfare of the guests. The place was entirely new for us and without their support we would have found it very very difficult. They made special food for the sick person. Such warmth will certainly make me go there again. Food served there is delicious and room boy Bashir is a gem of a person. Special thanks to Javed saab father of Sarwar who was very helpful with his advice.

Honestly it was a trip with not much time to plan. Seeing the reviews
of this hotel, I got in contact the owner of
the hotel and gave him my itinerary. In no time everything was
planned for me.

We stayed there from 6th to 10th March and right from the pick up to
drop at the airport we had no problem at all. It was as if we were
living in a home with a very hospitable host. The room was
comfortable and the bathroom clean which is the first thing we look
for.

The hotel in fact is more of a small guest house with rooms, and only room service. Ofcourse they know the true value of hospitality & etiquette. Mr. Sarwar& his father go to the extreme length to ensure that every need of the guest is taken care of. They also guide you of where to shop etc. and
also keep track of the guest’s safety and whereabouts from time to
time.

Food that we ordered was good and you can even ask them to cater to your taste. It was brought piping hot and served by Basheer who was so very hospitable and anything you asked him, he would do it so pleasantly. He was so polite, attentive and cheerful at all times and even if you asked him for a cup of tea
or coffee late in the night, he made it look so easy.

For those who are willing to adjust and not too fussy about the location, activities etc.then it is a definite recommendation. and we hope to return someday. May God provide the family with the best of health and prosperity for others to
enjoy their hospitality.

our family trip could not have been more enjoyable and relaxing. Thanks to JH Bazaz for organizing a wonderful trip and making our stay full of ease. Mr Hussain Sarwar's hospitality will make us remember Kashmir even more.
Janab Rashid drove us through apple and kesar farms and a village in Kashmir, which became one of the most memorable part of our visit.
The trip was very well organised by them and given a chance would love to visit kashmir again with stay at the same place.
