Well, I had heard a lot about Mussoorie being queen of hills. So, I wanted to visit this place, though I had visited Mussoorie during childhood days but I hardly remember anything after 27 years or so. My brother-in-law had stayed in Hotel Paradise Mansion so he recommended the same to us also After a four and a half non-stop journey by car from Panchkula I reached Mussoorie. After crossing around 50 % of mall area, I reached a place where the board of the hotel was there. After a steep drive I reached the hotel which was located on a hill above the mall road. At first I found dangerous but later when I entered the hotel and got a room which was at the ground floor I forgot everything The room was amazing, it was big and really like a room of a Mansion. It was a mansion in real terms. The room had all the amenities, it was march end, the temperature was normal but yes we felt a bit cold in the room but there was blower which the room service switched on as we entered. It had big bed, decorative yellow lights, wooden room which was at a height as the room was spacious. It had big cupboard, locker inside, a dressing table and a big led In the front there were two big windows which gave a great view of first the lawn of the hotel and then the big mountains of Mussoorie. There was also a small table and two ethnic chairs for sitting. Then there was a small bathroom but well managed and upgraded with all modern facilities I felt it was more than I had spent on the hotel. I enjoyed Mussoorie also because of this great room in the hotel The most important thing, they had a wagonr car and a driver for picking you from down the hill and taking you up and vice Versa. The driver was also very nice and humble. Much like the room service The only thing which I did not like about the hotel was its food which was below average and too costly The unique thing about the hotel was its location, away from noise of mall road on a hill which gives you peace for what you go there and whenever you feel lonely just go down the hill in a minute and you are on a mall road which is crowded and have fun with lot of good shops to eat and shop. Better than mall road of Shimla. The best time to be on mall road is night at nine when mall road is like a marriage palace all decorated with lights and not a single place to step as it's flooded with people The other places you can visit our company garden and wax museum inside company garden, the road which goes to this garden is good and relaxing. This part is good but yes its commercialized, they will ask money from every where. But on a whole company garden is a relaxing place But yes if you are planning for Kempty falls, then you need to take around two thousand rupees with you. It's too costly but yes not worth as you end up going a place which is dirty and filthy with nothing good to eat, all maggie booths which they can't prepare in a good way and add there own masalas and sell for Rs. 70/- or so. It takes you 45 minutes to reach there after a steep road downwards. Apart from these destinations there is a ropeway which takes you to gun hill, but queues for it include 100 people or so on an average. We did not try for it. But yes there is a place known as All Tibba which is also a tourist spot but we were discouraged by local people not to go there by own car as it had a straight road taking you to a height. Landour is also another destination but yes we did not try for that. Overall Mussoorie is hardly two days destination and there is nothing to do more than that. But yes there are some mountain lovers and people who come here in a big family and group can stay for longer. But I am not a big time mountain lover as I feel homesick after 2 days at max. Stay at mountains.
