Narlai is mid-way between Jodhpur and Udaipur, known to be on tourist triangle. Nearest airport Udaipur (160kms) while 30kms is railway station Rani and almost the same distance is Falna. Forty minutes by car to the south of Narlai, are the ancient Ranakpur temples and to the east is the greatest fort of the region, Kumbhalgarh. To the north is well preserved wildlife reserve. Stretch stay for minimum 5to 6 days anything less than that would be an injustice, summer is harsh. While going around village, sanitation works is on but till then beware of mosquitoes.

Land of Forts and Palaces
Book bus tickets from the Vendor directly and not through the agent as they charge you INR 200 more than the vendor. Bargain Bargain Bargain, don't be hasty that is all there is. Don't shop in the fort and palace complex as they are 300-400 times more than cost in local bazzar. Do thorough check before getting into a hotel, check if they are HYGENIC, CLEAN, especially the toilets and bathrooms, they take you for a ride using false pictures on the websites. Tariff mentioned on the website will not be available when u reach the hotel, etc Travel in groups of 2 or more to save on costs. Do a lot of research on the CLIMATE, food, costs before traveling. Wear shoes if it involves lot of walking and climbing, may not necessarily be trekking, etc.....

Land of colours
Winters is the best time...carry proper woolens in winter....trai. is very well conne ted in Rajasthan...a good sunsreen...avoid bus travel..roads are not too good.
