During winter temp is as low as 3-4 deg..so take all winter wears with you during safaris in jungle.always go for pre-booking of safaris..there are many chances that you wont get bookings..always try for gypsy ride..canter ride is worst... For gujrati people-route to Ranthambore from Ahmedabad is very good.. Distance between Ahmedabad to Ranthambore via Kota-670 kms. Excellent highway ..never go for Bundi route as its still under repairing.

Delhi to Jaipur 6 hours by Road and Jaipur to Sawai Madhopur 3 hours by road, Ranthabore forest entry is within Madhopur. Take the highway through Dosa from Jaipur, the road is under construction but the parts that have been constructed are amazing for a drive.

Nearest railway station is Sawai Madhopur, 10 kms approx. During Jungle Safari, carry 2-3 water bottles per person, handkerchief, cap/hat, apply sunscreen, carry a bag to carry the empty bottles and other garbage to keep the jungle clean.

Travel tips- nothing much except to take clothes as per the weather as its hot in summer and can be very cold in winters! Not much of unexpected weather changes in this belt. One can reach there by railways (Sawai Madhopur ) or by road, nearest airport is Jaipur. Once you land there, hotel personnel arrange for transport. Travel warnings- for safari, try to be early bird so that a better zone is allotted, binoculars can be handy, carry water bottles along, and please do not throw anything or feed any animal in the jungle! One can carry eatables along but should keep the waste in bag along and dispose off after coming out of the jungle!
