The best part of the trip was the duration between Dwarka and Somnath, a 90KM stretch by the beachside, a sight to see. Reach first at Dwarka we started from Ahmedabad at around 7:00AM, taking a few breaks we reached Dwarka around 4pm. Dwarka and the marvel that went into the construction of the temple will make the road trip tiredness pale out.
Dwarka was a days trip then we moved to Somnath and the grand temple puts you in awe. Somnath holds a beautiful aura that drags you whether be orthodox or atheist this place will amaze you. The amalgamation of the temple and the beach make it a beautiful sight worth seeing.
We were very comfortable in the car. It was a pleasant journey. We started from Ahmedabad in early morning and so we reached Somnath in noon at about 3 pm at Shivam Hotel. But there was no facility for lunch at Shivam Hotel so we had to arrange our lunch outside the hotel else we enjoyed the car travel and we prefer this one.
Good experience in train. Enjoy food and enjoy nice scenario but did not feel good cause I can't get AC ticket. That's why I feel hot in the train. On somnath station, they do not have much facility for passengers so it's not a good experience for me.
It was nice to have your own car rather than to go by bus or train. It will save a lot of time and it's helpful and if you want to visit the nearby places in some amount of time car travel was the best. Otherwise you have to take the local auto rickshaw and go to that place, which may charge you more according to the time you go at the place.
The experience was very good as I travelled by taxi and the place is just beautiful and the stay what we found was also simply nice. It was a religious trip and trust me very peaceful, you get a peace of mind there. The view of the sea is simply beautiful and you just can't find anything way more than watching the beautiful sunrise and sunset while you visit the temple.
