Advice to the traveller: Do not book hotels without validating the facility, since I booked Hotel Goher and it was the worst experience I ever had.
I went to Dalhousie by car through Pathankot. The road is very good and is surrounded by greenery and springs, lovely sights all around. We went for Dalhousie in the morning and reached there by noon. We stopped twice on the way and had some refreshments. The pales, dhabas and restaurants are good on the way.
Good travel experience by my car with my family as we were going from Amritsar to Dalhousie after a year. We were going for holidays and Dalhousie is a perfect place to visit by your own car as we were enjoying the car journey and in this route there are many restaurants and dhabas on the way.
We had booked with Sandhu Travels, and Mr Varandeep Singh the manager provided us with a A/C coach bus for this trip. The drivers and the tour operator was very cooperative in spite of the fact that our group did put forward quite a lot of demands! The road till Pathankot is good. After which the ghat road to Dalhousie is just ok. Unfortunately the bus broke down 2 hours before Dalhousie. The tour operator, talked to the local Dalhousie operator for another bus. But this took time, but we took it along, all through this struggle one should appreciate the tour operator who was cooperative.
