The nearest rail head is Badnera, from there Taxis ( Sumo,Indica, Bolero etc) are available. They should charge somewhere around Rs. 1400 (year 2010). If you are bus person, then state transport buses ply from Badnera to Paratwada and from there to Chikhaldara. I am not sure about the frequency, but should be around 1 bus per hour.

From Indore to Khandwa and then to Dhertalai - Dharni and Semadoh. From thereon it is a narrow winding road through thick forest....requires skillfull driving and frequent gear changing !
