Goa is located at a distance of about 556 km from Bangalore. Goa being the most popular beach destination of India is well-connected to Bangalore by airways, road and railways. However, the best way to reach Goa is by car, a journey of about 9 hours. The places covered during the journey are Bangalore-30 km->Nelamangala-43 km->Tumkur-75 km->Tiptur-70 km->Birur-60 km->Shimoga-77 km->Sagar-96 km->Kumta-71 km-> Uttara Kannada->35 km->Canacona-69 km-> Goa. Petrol Pumps of HP and India Oil and several small food joints and restaurants are present en route.
Transport options from Bangalore to Goa

The flights take off at Bangalore Airport and land at the Dabolim Airport, which is 30 km from Panjim, a popular beach town of Goa. Several cab and taxi services are available outside the airport to travel from airport to other parts of Goa.

The trains available are Mas Vasco Express (17311), YPR Vasco Express (17309) and VLKN VSG Express (17316). These stations arrive at Madgoan. The train fare is about INR 310. However, the journey is long and the trains do not ply on all the days of the week. Advance reservation is required.
Though, many people opt for bus service from Bengaluru to Goa, I won't suggest that. First, it's not at all comfortable and it becomes more unbearable when you have to wait at the boarding point and then covering 10 km takes 2.5 hrs. Moreover, I felt it was too congested and A/C were not upto full capacity.
The comfort and options is the major priority for a travel. Due to last minute plans could not decide much about that. But was pretty satisfied and could find a very good sleeper bus all the way to Goa. Proper planning and booking in advance would give us a bigger smile.
Staff behaviour and punctuality at the boarding point was excellent and bus quality was very good. I boarded in an AC bus which was clean and the service was good. They provided me a bottle and a Blanket. The journey was comfortable and I enjoyed the tour.
I finally spent a nice weekend with my friends. This time, I was having the four days so I made a plan for going to Goa to hangout with my friends. This was really the awesome trip ever. We drove the car and it was a nice trip. We carried all the required things for travelling.
We travelled from Bangalore International Airport to the New International Airport at Dobulim and took a taxi from there to Mobor. It was a pleasant journey although a little hot. The airport at Goa was getting the finishing touches and the rest rooms were not up to the mark and they did not have a baby care area which was a matter of concern as we travelled with our 9 months old son. Otherwise it was a decent arrival at the resort in Goa.
