Mode of Transport:Bus
The journey is long and the state run buses usually takes 08 hours to reach Hosapete. I left at 07am and reached by 02/02.30 pm on a dry winter afternoon

The buses stop after Sira for a quick meal after 11am so please have a good breakfast before leaving as the motel would be filled with tourists clamoring for food. A cup of chai/buttermilk should help instead of joining the group to fight for food.

The bus stops at all major stations and carry a cap or a pair of sunglasses to do away with the extra heat. The buses start crowding after 12noon so be ready to share your seat with your new co-traveller.

The staff is friendly and cooperates for emergency requirements.

Rest after the journey is required, minimum of 2 hours.

It was nice journey I had taken KSRTC AC sleeper bus. Its comfortable and they provided pillows, water & blankets. Bus beds were in great condition and also provided mobile charging facility. Overall KSRTC bus services are very good and safer to travel. My personal opinion is Bangalore to Hospet Night journey is good.

Nice Journey by Taxi, we booked by Book Cab, the Cab was neat and clean and Driver was decent in Driving. All the way he was guiding to us also, as BookCab has policy that Driver guides travelers. The route between chitradurga and Hospet is very difficult, as it is 2 lane. But Driver managed it properly.

I went to Hospet on a winter morning in the month of December, 2014. The Suvarna Karnataka Sarige KSRTC Bus left the Majestic Bus Stop in Bangalore at around 9 Am and reached Hospet Bus Stop at around 3:30 Pm, covering a distance of 340 Kilometer in around six hours. The bus took the NH-4 to Tumkur via Jalahalli Cross and Nelamangala and further took the route via Sira, Hiriyur, Chitradurga and Kudligi. The bus travel from Bangalore to Chitradurga on NH4 is excellent. After that via Kudligi is good and motor-able. The best time to visit Hospet is between September to February.

Efficient driver, took a good care, very safe driving, punctual and so loving that. Thank you Shreyas for being with us. Our tour plan was to go and take rest so we have not gone to any place between the destination. Advice to travellers is that believe on your driver because our person taken us only at those Dhabas and refreshment areas which were neat and safe. Providing excellent food for my family.
