Best way to travel from Bangalore to Mantralayam
The distance between Bangalore and Mantralayam is almost 390 km and it takes around 9 hours of driving, to reach Mantralayam from Bangalore. There are two routes to reach Mantralayam. First route is: Bangalore – Tumkur – Hiriyur – Bellary – Mantralayam. The road from Bangalore to Bellary is fantastic, after which it starts deteriorating till Mantralaym. One can also stay overnight at Bellary and resume travelling, early in the morning. Another way is to take the Hydrabad route: Ananthpur – Gooty – Adoni – Mantralaya. The road from Gooty to Adoni is completely deserted; so finding any resources, even water, can be very difficult. It is better to carry all the basic necessities.

Bangalore to Mantralayam By Train: Take a direct train from Bangalore City Junction to Mantralayam Railway Station that takes around 8 hours. Mantralayam Railway Station is located at a distance of around 15 km from the city centre and can be reached by hiring a taxi or a bus. Bus transport mode is the best way to reach Mantralayam. There is a railway station called Mantralayam Road, but never tried this way of transport. Mostly the railway station is far from the city, but you would find auto rikshaws & buses to reach Mantralayam

Panchamukhi Hanuman Temple is ok to visit but the road to there is horrible unless u have a vehicle like scorpio or innova Autos and tempos which usually ply to there will toss u about People with back pain, Spondylitis, Heart problem, pregnant women should not undertake trip to panchamukhi hanuman temple. Journey to there takes 2-3Hrs.
