1) From Bangalore airport, the resort is located at village Karapura which is about 240 Kms .
2) Barring the traffic at Bangalore, Mysore and Mandya, the drive from Bangalore to Kabini River Lodge is very good.
3) We have to drive through Bidadi-Ramanagara-Channapatna-Mandya-Srirangapatna-Mysore-HD Kote Road-Hand Post-Karapura (Kabini). We have to take the HD Kote road from Mysore to Kabini.
4) Early morning is a good time for travel by road because the traffic density is less.
5) One can stop over for coffee breaks at Cafe Coffee Day.

Drive to Nagahole Forest is always exciting. One can take Mysore road from Bangalore, and Visit Kokkare Bellur Bird sanctuary near Maddur and also visit Ranganathittu Bird sanctuary at Sringapatna. From Ranganathittu , one has to continue on Hunsur road to reach Nagahole Forest. Roads are quite good upto Hunsur but from Hunsur to Nagahole, the road has plenty of Pot holes.

The Nagarhole forest road was not good at all. Speed limit of 30 - though we did see some animals and kids liked the driving through the jungle. Made sense to come via Gonekoppal even if it is 20-30 kms longer. Otherwise, road is good. Coming via Mysore, we found the ring road better than the Srirangapatnam bypass road.

My wife and I with my sister in law, thought of a weekend, but we did not want to roam around looking for places, we wanted to relax. We thought of some many places but we zero down on King Century, as its in between the forest and we could also try our luck to spot the wildlife habitat. We started off from Bangalore on Saturday morning and via Bangalore Mysore high way and reached the destination by 11.00 as the roads were good. We were greeted well. We loved the ambiance of the resort and the hospitality. We checked in to the room, rooms were well maintained with all amenities, to match the 5 star category, relaxed with body massage and good swim in the pool. One should not miss to visit the Buddhist monastery. A must see place 5-7 KM away from the resort. Morning would be ideal for safari, We were lucky to spot the tiger and some elephants. The ideal time to visit is July & August.

Road was pretty good and at times it was not. In fact some roads were very bad. Over all a good experience, after entering the forest it is so thrilling and very scary experience we have a feeling of wild animals following. Very nice place. I would like to visit whenever i get opportunity.
