I visited Nandi Hills some days back on 1st day of New Year to see the first sunrise of the year. It was an amazing experience with friends. After partying we could sleep for just 2-3 hours before we started travel at 4.30 am. But journey timing and crowd was awesome on the first day. Visiting Nandi Hills is very easy and it's a great trip if you are short of time to travel far from the city and more Highway Airport road is awesome in the early morning. Relief buster with fresh air and sunlight. Next trip on bike with friends for sure.
From Bangalore it is very easy to reach Nandi Hills. The airport road is very nice to travel and drive the altered fly over makes your journey awesome. After Devanahalli cross the road is little narrow but is very comfortable. While going we can visit the Kempegowda International Airport.
I recently made a visit to this beautiful hill station with my family including my wife and 2 kids. We started from Sarjapur Road at Bangalore at about 7 am in the morning. Due to the heavy traffic and ongoing construction work, it took more than an hour to cover the first stretch of the travel (27 km) in the outer ring road. Once we came out of the outer ring road and took the National Highway 7, the driving was bit faster. We covered the remaining 30 km in the NH-7 in another 45 minutes. Driving through the NH-7 was kind of boring due to the road work and bridge constructions going on.
The last stretch of driving was about 5 km in the Nandi Hills road and few kilometres along the hill road itself. Once we turned in to the Nandi Hills road from the National Highway, the driving experience was really amazing. It was one of the beautiful and scenic places I have ever seen.
On the way to the hill top, we stopped in several places to capture the natural beauty with our digital SLR camera.
Nice journey and it was awesome experience. I loved my trip. It was great experience, nice to see all place. We had taken couple of break during the journey. We had taken tea because in early morning cold was so high. It was awesome trip. We are going next month also..:)
The best time to visit, round the year (avoid monsoons though, the steps might be slippery). We should leave early in the morning from 3 am from Bangalore City. Carry enough food and water, no good eateries around.
