It was a good journey. We planned suddenly and went out. The car was on time. And it was weekend so less traffic. The roads are good and we got Governor house and doordarshan/akashvani (not sure as a long ago) on the way. The driver was very good and supportive. We booked him for the next day return and he was there in time on the next day also, though it was 60 km from Bangalore.
We left at 8 drive was long and not so fun, we stopped at a McDonalds outlet to eat. We reached at around 10 so it took 2 hrs totally including all the stops. I suggest the travellers to leave a bit early to avoid the traffic and bring some food to eat if you don't want to stop.
Nandi Hills is is a nice place for sightseeing. The best time to visit Nandi Hills is during the sunrise. It takes more than an hour to reach the destination. So, one should start the journey in the mid night itself to feel the weather. The roads are also really good. The journey will be really good if your travelling by 2 wheeler also.
I visited Nandi Hills some days back on 1st day of New Year to see the first sunrise of the year. It was an amazing experience with friends. After partying we could sleep for just 2-3 hours before we started travel at 4.30 am. But journey timing and crowd was awesome on the first day. Visiting Nandi Hills is very easy and it's a great trip if you are short of time to travel far from the city and more Highway Airport road is awesome in the early morning. Relief buster with fresh air and sunlight. Next trip on bike with friends for sure.
From Bangalore it is very easy to reach Nandi Hills. The airport road is very nice to travel and drive the altered fly over makes your journey awesome. After Devanahalli cross the road is little narrow but is very comfortable. While going we can visit the Kempegowda International Airport.
