The Bus was very good and they play nice movies inside bus and seats also very comfortable. They were also giving water bottle in the bus and for halt they choose good hotel where you will get all variety of food and clean bathroom and toilet.

I will definitely recommend others to go for Ksrtc Airavat Club Class bus.

While going from Bangalore we have taken 36 hair bend route which was scary and beautiful. While coming back we have taken the Bus route which is long and safe. Going by car experience is really good because you can see Bandipur and Mudumalai park on the way.

Best Road Trip ever, we had hired a Toyota Etios from mantri cab and driver was very good. He was knowing all the routes and other sightseeings. We took the route from Bangalore > Coorg > Ooty > Mysore > Bangalore for 3 night and 4 Days. We went during the year end and the crowd was decent enough for the Christmas time. The climate was sunny and clear in Ooty.

Early on a Monday morning last week we set out on a short family vacation from Bangalore to Ooty in our Ertiga. As usual the Bangalore-Mysore highway was crowded even at 7:30 AM making the city stretch a cumbersome exercise. However, once on the freeway the going was fairly smooth. My 21 year old son was at the wheel for the first leg up to Mysore. Breakfast at the midway point food court in the A2B joint was quick and simple. We avoided the city troubles by taking the ring road at Columbia-Asia Hospital and reached the Nanjangud Road in about 3 hours.

That was the end of smooth sailing. Horrible road condition till Gundlupet due to roadworks made the going frustratingly slow and bumpy. I took the wheel for the second leg of the trip all the way to the top. Road condition was not that bad till the Karnataka border through the Bandipur Sanctuary. Not much to sight as the sun was scorching and the animals had a retreat, except a few herds of deer lazily grazing by the roadside. Of course, a couple of sightings of large lizards darting across the road and a Bison-like animal ambling across the grassy expanse at a distance were the only punctuation in our otherwise plain journey. Theppakadu Elephant camp was deserted considering the time of day that we reached there.

The steep climb via Masinagudi route was both interesting and strenuous for our Ertiga. By mid afternoon we reached Charing Cross in Ooty and after a quick lunch in A2B restaurant we headed for the Hotel for the rest of the day. Sinclairs Resort on Gorishola Road was our final destination. The overall experience during this 6hr drive was good. Lack of convenience facilities such as clean eateries and toilets, particularly for the ladies was felt at times after Mysore and hope someone takes care of such essentials on this oft frequented route.

It was a purposeful family vacation only to retreat and relax for two nights and so we chose this resort off the beaten track and away from the usual crowds. Sinclairs property enjoys a beautiful location with some very fine sunset view in the evening and expansive lawns to stroll around. Food...more »
