It was a nice journey with my friends to Pune and we had lots of fun. The climate was good as it was raining. It takes 18 hours to reach Pune from Bangalore, we left here at 2:30 pm and arrived Pune at 9:30am. It was comfortable, experience was good travelling in train but the food provided was really bad.
We took AC sleeper bus, but it broke down in Satara and we took another bus to Pune. It takes around 16 hrs to reach Pune though the operator claims 12 hrs and the ticket fare was too high. When I called up to let them know about the breakdown in Satara, the response from operator was not acceptable. He had no responsibility about the passengers who were stuck.
It was a peaceful, simple and fun drive. There are quite a few restaurants on the way. It is also good to carry some refreshments along, if you don't want to stop on the way. Being with a group of people time just flies and you reach your destination in no time.
