I had gone by own car and I was driving the entire trip. From Bangalore to Namakkal we have a good highway ,this stretch we can reach within five hours time. From Namakkal to Trichy the road is only two line and road condition is bad in some places.
Good road connectivity to Trichy via Salem. En-route you get many places to eat or rest. Comfortable to drive during the early hours of the day.If time permits one can visit Yercaud in Salem about 25 kms. Good hotels and resorts available. Journey was good but bus stopped in some places like petrol bulk and canteen for more than 30 minutes. So drivers are requested to don't stop the bus for more than 15 minutes. And charging points was not working, so charging points should be replaced. Otherwise journey was good.
It is a comfortable journey option for people who wish have a peaceful travel time. The train is clean, toilets are maintained well and I reached Bangalore in time. There will be prepaid auto facility available but not sure whether those are available during night time.
