Calangute- Baga Beach - Goa

You can travel by train- Bangalore to Vasco but Calangute by Bus via Panjim gets ardous . So travell Sleeper Bus from Bangalore - Panjim then bargain with a taxi for Rs.200 to Calangute. Then shack up in any of the small hotels. All such places cater to the European needs i.e clean toilet and clean beds and are cheap Rs 250 - 350 per day. A little bit of preference is given by the hotels restaurants staff to the foriegn tourists - so if you do tip as most Indians Dont - then on the second meal you can see the changes. Calangute is not a safe beach, deep. so use Baga .
