Travelling by car is good option. We easily reached the place where we have to stay. Stopped in some places for food. But one must be careful while driving because roads are narrow. Overall, enjoyed the travelling and weather when we are going as weather was cloudy.
Journey was very good with snow valley. Good service on offer. Provided everything, but the halt station where we need to have food and use toilets was not that good. Route is not safe as the roads are not good, but the driver was experienced. A/C temperature was good, blankets were clean.
Road up to Bilaspur was in very poor condition from Kiratpur Sahib, (Punjab-Himachal Border Area). After Bilaspur to Manali, the condition of road is better. At night there is lot of traffic with heavy vehicles like tourist buses & trucks, so prefer to drive during the day time. After Mandi District there is a lot of natural beauty to see.
The trip was a good one, wonderful experience to have a long drive. The route we took was NH21 and really smooth and silky the roads are. No traffic and wonderful joyride. Really worth the trip with the family. Exciting an super wonderful place to be in. Loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed it.
I think that one should go for Mercedes buses rather than Volvo buses, as they are more comfortable. Journey through road is marvellous, the views along the river is fantastic. Travellers should prefer night travelling rather than during day time. The halt in the way is one or two, so liquid consumption should be less.
