We hired Innova to reach Shimla from Chandigarh. We started from Chandigard at 11 am. It took almost 5 hours to reach Shimla. There were few tea and street food stalls, dhabas and shops on the way to Shimla. We stopped near Pandav Gufa and had lunch there. We reached our hotel in Shimla at around 4:30 pm.
We reached on time and the journey was kk. The sightseeing was also beautiful and I enjoyed a lot. One can see the snow cladded mountains and also the tracks from which the toy train passes. Also bus saves a lot of time as it takes 6 hrs by the train to reach Shimla while bus takes around 3 hours.

Shimla as we know is one of the best places for a perfect holiday. Its one of the main hubs of tourist attentions in the Northern India. The best timings to start your fun trip would be in the morning as the smell of moist soil and fresh breeze. I being a resident of Chandigarh started the trip in my own car with my friends around 6-7am in the morning. This would also provide the obvious advantage of eliminating the chances of traffic as during day time there may be traffic which can suck up your time. The distance basically is 140 km and by car it does get covered in about 3 to 3.5 hours. The route offers the recreational places like Mcdonalds and ccd near Dharampur. For people loving more desi khana as like the whole Punjab there are many spots like Haveli, Gyani da dhaba, Raste-CH and many more dhabas all when you reach nearby Dharampur. So this means if you haven't eaten at the beginning of your journey you will get your stomachs filled by approximately 1-1.5hours as this the distance of Dharampur from Chandigarh between these two stations other places will be like Pinjore kalka. After having refreshments at Dharampur you may carry on your journey. On the way you will pass solan city which by gives a magnificent look in the early morning. About the daytime as I have been to Shimla once you met get this fact only when you make the trip yourself. Next to Solan we will have SHIMLA. The heavenly place of Himachal, Chandigarh. Once you start your journey make sure to carry a pullover or a sweatshirt as it can be quite chilly no matter if its summers. If you feel like experiencing this awesome journey to the awesome place make a trip yourself!!!
