Kumbakonam- 6 hours drive from chennai- 2 hours from tiruchirapalli (airport) trains available bus to all places taxis in plenty the drivers will chalk out program if you want to see temples. 2-3 days stay will be enough

Holy Visit to Kumbakonam

It is best advised to engage a vehicle to visit these temples and places. Avoid public transport, it is not easy to reach the places in time and should see only one or two places only during the entire day. It is easy and safe to reach Kumbakonam by Train connected mostly by all routes. If we use own car we should engage local drivers, since they know the routes and drive safely. According to my experience all the cab drivers are faith in god and behave friendly in Kumabakonam.

This temple is situated 1km from suryanar temple.this place is known as aduthurai. It is about 25km from mayiladuthurai. Can be approached from kumbakonam also.
