Left early in the morning by 6 am. Traffic was heavy till we crossed Chengalputtu. After that it was alright. You have lot of hotels on the way. Road was good until we reached Trichy. We were only three and it was very comfortable. Always carry as minimum luggage as possible.

I booked the ticket to travel at 1.25 PM. I missed the flight as it is indicated the Railway timings. It said 1.25 AM. We never used railway timings in our day to day life. No one says 13.25 hours. Please insist the airline to indicate AM or PM instead. Else at least some kind of attention must be there to indicate that its a midnight flight.

The roads were good. We started very early so that we could directly go to Tanjore and then go to the hotel for night stay. Next day we traveled to Madurai and came back to Trichy. Finally on the third day we left for Bangalore.

There were many Technical Colleges and Medical Colleges on the route. We did not know that Teaching has become a good business in South India.

The journey was good. Its smooth journey. I went with my friends. I enjoyed to view along the way like road side hotels, temples and more than more different places. The bus condition were also good. When I reach Trichy still I felt fresh. From Chennai to Trichy it took around 6 hours. We went to see some important places in Trichy.

We see the Kallanai built by karikala sozhan. The architecture was wonderful. Then we went to malaikottai. This is a wonderful temple.

We booked our Tickets well in advance by Rockfort Express that leaves from Chennai Egmore every day by 10:30 PM. And reaches Tiruchirappalli Junction by 5:30 A.M. Next day morning. We had the comfort of our son dropping us in Chennai Egmore Station in our car on 31.10.2015, Saturday Night. The Chennai Egmore Station is equipped with all amenities including Wheelchairs/Free Electric Cars for Senior Citizens and the disabled to move within the Platform one end to the other. There are huge LED hoardings displaying the arrival and departures of various Trains around the same time. We had no problem locating our Train as well as our Coach as everything could be easily and visibly seen. We were fortunate that the Train was stationed in the 1st Platform itself. We didn't have the botheration of either walking over the steps carrying the baggage or taking the escalators.

We were serviced very well by the Railways Personnel to protect ourselves from the Air-conditioners chills at times by a Pillow/Two bed Spread warm and clean- and white/and a Woolen bed sheet. We chose to travel by Third A/C Coach. Being Senior Citizens we were charged only Rs. 410/- as against 580/- the normal fare. One has to carry his ID card without fail as otherwise Penalty will stall him or her.

A pleasant sleep after bargaining with fellow travellers a Lower Berth for my wife who is aged 60 and can not claim up the other berths. Online booking doesn't guarantee us the Lower Berths whether we are senior Citizens or otherwise. Fellow travellers had been too good to accommodate us even though most of them were seniors excepting one. I kept alarm in my mobile for 4:30 AM. As we wanted to alight at Srirangam itself. Alarm did not wake me up. All the passengers were fast asleep and no one was aware of the fast approaching Srirangam Station. I firmly believe that Perumal himself woke me up as I woke up with a sudden jerk and got down from my Upper Berth and went to see where we were. Don't be surprised. We were very much there in the Platform of Srirangam Station. I moved fast, told my wife who was already got up and ready to move.
