A group of 15 members were travelled to Velankanni around 1 pm. We had settled up to 4th row from last. On that day, there was a heavy rain. We chatted and enjoying the scenery around us while moving in the bus. At sometime later, bus suddenly stopped due to the tree fallen on the road. It's a one way path and it takes around 2 hours to clear the road. We all stepped out of the bus and enjoyed with the river aside and took many photographs with the nature around us. Finally we had an awesome day with lot of good memories.
I am staying in Chennai and planned to go to Velankani church for summer holidays. I took my car and drove self. I went the route in ECR. It's was a pleasant trip. I enjoyed very well. Totally 6 hours travel to reach Velankani. There room are available and the room cost was very average. Totally the trip was awesome.
We took the road via Trichy after staying for a night in Trichy. The road was fabulous upto Tanjore and then the nightmare started. Till Nagapattinam the roads were winding and quite dangerous at times. Even then the ride was smooth and after Nagapattinam the roads were good.
NH45, National Highway 45/NH45 and National Highway 67
This is the train that will start from Chennai Egmore and my boarding point is from Tambaram. It will reach Tambaram by 11 pm. The train journey is good and comfortable, but we have to book the ticketís two months before and there are number of buses also available to Velankani but I prefer train.
