The Volvo bus provides great service to the nation. The bus is very clean, maintained very well. A bit expensive for some but surely worth the money thatís being charged. It leaves on time and reaches on time. Its interiors makes travelling by bus a good option, however do book in advance.
The experience was quite good with the bus; it was a semi sleeper bus. We reached the destination on expected time. It was nice to see all the sightseeing all through. The pit-stop restaurant had uncleaned toilets even though they are taking money from us. The food was costly and not worth at all.
We took our own car for this road trip. We departed Chennai at around 8 am (though even earlier is recommended) and took the NH-4/AH-45. The 6 lane highway makes for an excellent drive. We took a breakfast stop at a highway dhaba. There are many dhabas and tea stalls all through the way. One can visit Kanjeevaram enroute. We reached Vellore just before 12. The drive back in the evening was just as comfortable.

Usually I will avoid peak hours to reach the destination on time. But some cases I had bad experience especially traffic between Porur to Tynempet. Due to the metro train works in Chennai the traffic is high in recent days and this is the only thing I hate and had bad traveling experiences
