The car journey probably was the best part of the trip. You get to interact with family members and get to know them better. We carried lots of snacks watched movies on the way. The scenery while driving was a beautiful sight to watch. It was like heaven on earth.
It was nice journey with breakfast and it reached in the shortest time. We had a nice train journey and the train started on time and reached on time. The staff were good and we had nice sleep in the train as we were carrying the neck pillow, else its difficult to sleep.
Enjoyed the trip from Chennai to Yercaud via Tanjore. Visited Tanjore big temple which was our big dream for the past 5 yrs. I stayed one night in Tanjore and next day we went to Yercaud and stayed there for 2 nights, stay was very much satisfactory. I would like to visit one more time if time permits. Thanks to the Lake Forest hotel!
I love it when I drive in car with my friends and drive was superb and nice. Please drive safely and I enjoyed the drive as I like it. The drive was through the night. Had fun with my friends and all we drove safely to the destination. Overall I loved it as I love driving.
This route has:
AH 45 and Salem - Tirupattur - Vaniyambadi Rd/SH18
The national highways are very good nowadays and have enough signboards and direction assistance. Though there were many restaurants and highway stopover points, we hardly took any. It is only in Salem we got a little confused with road diversions due to poor sign boards due to developmental activities.
